Recliner Handle Replacement How To Tutorials

Remove the broken recliner handle by unscrewing the two fixing screws behind the latch using either a manual or electric screwdriver and pull the handle clear of the furniture.

Rotate the handle to locate the retaining clip. Remove the clip by pinching the arms together and unhook the cable from the handle.
Pull the cable sheath clear to allow slack and check around the cable and barrel for any wear, tear or damage.
Secure the original cable into the replacement handle and refit the retaining clip.
Fit the handle and cable back in to the furniture. Pull the handle (the mechanism will open the footrest) to expose the fixing holes and securely fit the screws into both holes.

Just perfect! Only bought one to boost the saggiest seat in our L shaped couch and see if I got the right density, and I did. Tucked it under the cushion and now the seat looks consistent with the rest. Now to buy some more for the rest of the couch.

Had Sofa Rehab recommended to me by a repairer as I had a broken handle on my old recliner. They had all the dimensions on their website, so that I could ensure I was getting the right size. Well priced and speedy delivery and very easy to install. Couldn't be happier.

Fixed my couch!! Quoted $1000 to fix this. $200 later from Sofa Rehab and fixed it myself. The couch had tears and the leather was also quite worn on one of the seats. With their video instructions it ended up being easier than expected. The colour matched perfectly.

Worked a treat. Over time, I had bleached the headrest of my dark brown leather recliner due to the peroxide sanitiser that I had in my spa. A couple of coats of the Leather Colourant makes it look brand new...It was a patch the size of a dinner plate and you would never know now. Great product, works a treat!
