Description
Metal Drive‑Link Bracket for Leggett & Platt, RMT & Universal Recliner Mechanisms
This solid‑steel drive‑link (toggle) bracket is the small but critical joint that clamps onto your recliner’s square centre drive rod and bolts to the white slide block, transferring every bit of motor force to the foot‑rest mechanism. Swap it in when the factory bracket cracks or bends—no need to buy a whole new mechanism or actuator. Fits either side of the actuator block and suits most Leggett & Platt, RMT and generic electric recliner frames.
Compatible with Standard Drive Shafts
Before ordering, confirm your drive‑rod is minimum 8 mm (5⁄16″) square profile and that the original bracket’s pivot pin is 8–10 mm from the rod face. Need help? Contact our support team for expert advice. We’re here to make sure you get the right part the first time.

FAQs
FAQs
Do I need any special tools to install it?
No. A Phillips screwdriver (or 10 mm socket, depending on your bolts) Most customers finish the swap in under ten minutes.
Is the bracket handed—left and right?
Yes, they are left and right handed sets. You will recieve one of each.
Can I install these myself, or do I need a technician?
These parts can be installed at home using basic tools. If you're confident with DIY repairs, it's a straightforward job. We also provide guidance if needed.
My actuator still works but the chair won’t move—will this part solve it?
If the motor runs yet the foot‑rest stays put or moves unevenly, a fractured drive‑link bracket is the usual culprit. Replacing the bracket re‑links the actuator to the mechanism and restores normal operation without the cost of a new motor.
Should I replace both the left and right arms or just one?
We strongly recommend replacing both arms at the same time to ensure balanced movement and even wear. They are sold as a matched pair.
