How To Install The Kaidi KDH127-032 Recliner Switch

  1. Take a photo before you start. Before removing anything, take clear photos of your existing switch, plug connections and cable routing. This gives you a helpful reference when installing the replacement switch.
  2. Disconnect the power. Unplug the recliner from the wall power outlet and disconnect the power supply before working on the chair.
  3. Use safe lifting techniques. If you need to move, tilt or access the underside of the recliner, use safe lifting methods and get another person to help with heavy furniture. Do not place yourself under unsupported furniture.
  4. Remove the old switch fascia. Carefully remove the plastic fascia cover from the existing switch to expose the mounting screws.
  5. Unscrew the old switch. Remove the screws holding the switch in place and gently pull the switch out from the arm of the recliner.
  6. Disconnect the old plugs. Release the retaining clips and unplug the existing 5 pin DIN plug and 2 pin OI plug. Avoid pulling on the wires themselves.
  7. Compare before fitting. Check that the button layout, model number, plug types, cable layout and switch dimensions match your original switch before installing.
  8. Connect the new switch. Push the 5 pin DIN plug and 2 pin OI plug into the matching sockets, making sure the retaining clips lock securely into place.
  9. Fit the switch into position. Place the switch into the cut-out, making sure the cables are not pinched, crushed or stretched.
  10. Secure the switch. Reuse your existing screws to secure the switch, then clip the nickel coloured fascia cover into place.
  11. Reconnect power and test. Plug the recliner back into power and test the footrest, headrest, home button and USB-A charging port before fully moving the chair back into position.

How To Use The Recliner Switch

  • Recliner open and close buttons: Use one rocker button set to open and close the recliner footrest.
  • Headrest open and close buttons: Use the second rocker button set to adjust the powered headrest position.
  • Home button: Press the home button to return the chair functions to the resting position, where supported by your recliner system.
  • USB-A charging port: Plug a USB-A cable into the switch to charge compatible phones and small devices. The USB output is rated to a maximum of 5V 2000mA.

Important Safety and Compatibility Notes

  • Always disconnect the recliner from power before installation.
  • Do not force plugs together. If the connector does not fit easily, stop and compare the plug type with your original switch.
  • Make sure all cables are routed safely away from moving mechanisms before testing the chair.
  • Keep hands, tools, pets and children clear of moving recliner parts during testing.
  • This guide is general advice only. If you are unsure, contact us for help before installation.
