This heavy-duty right-angle bracket is designed to secure the actuator clevis to the front base rail of your recliner mechanism. Made from strong black metal and supplied with 4x 1/4×5/8 HEX BZP bolts and 4x nylon lock nuts, it’s a simple and effective way to restore your electric recliner’s functionality without replacing the entire actuator.
The bracket base plate measures 83mm x 43mm and features 4x oblong holes (11.95mm x 7.17mm) spaced 56mm apart left to right and 10mm apart top to bottom. The upright plate measures 83mm x 64mm with a central square cut-out of 26.5mm x 33mm, allowing the actuator’s clevis to slot securely into place.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Safety First. Disconnect the recliner from mains power before starting. Practise safe lifting techniques when moving or tilting your recliner to access the mechanism. If the chair is heavy, ask for assistance.
- Take a Reference Photo. Use your phone or camera to take a clear picture of the actuator and bracket setup before beginning. This will help you remember the correct orientation when refitting.
- Remove the Actuator. Locate the actuator’s clevis where it passes through the bracket. Carefully slide the actuator clevis free of the bracket cut-out. If necessary, remove any retaining bolts, screws, pins or clips that holds it in place.
- Remove the Old Bracket. Using a 10mm socket and spanner, undo the 4 bolts and nuts that secure the old bracket to the front base rail. Once the bolts are removed, take off the bracket.
- Fit the New Bracket. Position the new metal bracket onto the front base rail, aligning the 4 oblong holes with the holes in the rail. Insert the supplied bolts through the bracket and rail, then add the nylon lock nuts. Tighten evenly with the #10 socket and spanner until secure.
- Refit the Actuator. Slide the actuator clevis back into the square cut-out of the new bracket. Ensure it sits flush and secure. If your recliner requires it, reinsert the actuator rod and R-clip for added retention.
- Check Alignment & Function. Confirm that the actuator is firmly held at both the new bracket (front) and the rear base rail. Reconnect the recliner to mains power and test the full range of motion to make sure it operates smoothly.
- Final Safety Check. Verify that all bolts are tight, the actuator is securely in place, and there are no loose parts before returning the recliner to normal use.
