- Unplug the chair from power. Disconnect the power supply from the wall socket to ensure there is no electrical current running through the unit.
- Turn the chair over safely. Place the chair on its side or back using safe lifting techniques. Recliners can be heavy, so ask for help if needed.
- Take a photo of the wiring. Before you unplug anything, take a clear photo of the actuator plugs and connections. This will help you remember exactly where everything goes when installing the new motor.
- Disconnect the plugs. Unclip the 2 pin power plug and the 5 pin control plug from the old actuator.
