KAIDI KDH026-304 Brushed Chrome Recliner Button Switch
This genuine Kaidi replacement switch is designed for use with electric recliners fitted with a single actuator. With its brushed chrome metal finish and oblong faceplate measuring 100mm wide, 35mm deep and 3.5mm thick, it provides a sleek and durable replacement for worn or damaged buttons. The unit features two round buttons and a 5-pin male plug connection on a 1980mm long cable, making it a straightforward plug-and-play replacement.
Easy Armrest Installation
The switch mounts securely into the arm of your recliner with two bolt threads extending 33mm from the rear of the faceplate. These bolts pass through the upholstery and frame into the inner arm cavity and are fastened with supplied washers and wing nuts. How to Install the KAIDI KDH026-304 Button Switch
Before you begin, always practise safe lifting techniques when handling your recliner. If possible, ask someone to help you carefully tilt the chair onto its side to make access easier. We also recommend taking a clear photo of your existing switch, wiring, and plug connections before you remove anything — this will give you a helpful reference when reconnecting the new switch.
Step 1: Unplug the Power
Ensure the recliner is completely disconnected from the mains power before starting work. This prevents any risk of electrical shock or accidental movement of the mechanism.
Step 2: Access the Old Switch
Locate the existing switch on the armrest. From inside the arm cavity, remove the washers and wing nuts securing the switch in place. Gently slide the old switch out from the upholstery.
Step 3: Disconnect the Cable
Unplug the old switch from the actuator cable connection. Refer to your photo if needed to note the orientation of the 5-pin plug.
Step 4: Install the New Switch
Insert the new KAIDI KDH026-3042 switch through the opening in the armrest. The two 33mm bolt threads should pass through the upholstery and frame into the arm cavity.
Step 5: Secure the Switch
Fit the loose plastic circuit board cover in place, then slide on the washers and tighten the wing nuts by hand until firm. This will lock the switch securely to the armrest and hold the cover in place.
Step 6: Reconnect and Test
Connect the 5-pin male plug to your actuator cable. Stand the recliner upright, plug the chair back into power, and test both buttons to confirm smooth operation.

FAQs
FAQs
Will this switch fit my recliner?
The KAIDI KDH026-304 is designed for electric recliners with a single actuator that uses a 5-pin plug. If you’re unsure, take a look at your existing switch and plug type, or contact us for help confirming compatibility.
Can I install this myself?
Yes! This part is DIY-friendly. All you need is to unplug the chair, remove the old switch, fit the new one through the armrest opening, and secure it with the washers and wing nuts provided. No specialist tools are required.
Is it suitable for seat mounting as well as the armrest?
No, this switch is designed specifically for armrest installation. The 33mm bolt threads are intended to pass through the armrest upholstery and frame, making it unsuitable for seat-mounted positions.
Does the switch come with everything I need to install it?
Yes. The switch includes the cable (1980mm long), 5-pin plug, circuit board cover, and the bolts with washers and wing nuts needed to secure it in place.
What if my new switch doesn’t work after installation?
First, double-check that the 5-pin plug is firmly connected and correctly aligned. Compare with the photo you took before removing your old switch. If it still doesn’t respond, test the recliner with another known working switch (if available) to rule out an actuator or power supply issue. If you’re still having trouble, contact our support team for assistance.
