Product Details & Specifications
- Chrome Sensors: 20mm diameter with 16mm threaded shaft, each supplied with 2x nuts for secure upholstery mounting.
- Sensor Leads: 690mm long white and black leads including washer fitments; push-fit connectors link directly to the control box.
- Control Box: Compact unit measuring 86mm × 45mm × 33mm, with two mounting holes for screws or zip ties; supplied with 90mm connector leads.
- Actuator Lead: 1000mm long cable with straight 5-pin DIN plug and retaining clasp lugs.
How It Fits and Works
The chrome sensors mount through the seat side upholstery. Feed the white and black sensor leads through to the underside

How To Install – Kaidi KHD020-334 Touch Sensor Switch Kit
Replacing your touch sensor switch kit is a quick and simple DIY job. Follow the step-by-step guide below to complete the repair safely and successfully.
- Unplug the recliner from power. Always disconnect the power supply before starting any electrical repair to avoid risk of shock.
- Practice safe lifting techniques. Recliners can be heavy and awkward to move. Get assistance if needed and lift safely to avoid injury.
- Access the seat side panel. Locate the existing chrome touch sensors on the side wall of the seat cushion. Take a clear picture of the wiring before disconnecting anything so you have a reference for re-assembly.
- Remove the old sensors. Unscrew the retaining nuts from the threaded shafts and gently pull the sensors out from the upholstery. Disconnect the leads from the control box.
- Install the new chrome sensors. Insert each 20 mm sensor through the upholstery holes. Place the washer fitments behind the upholstery and secure them between the two nuts on the 16 mm threaded shaft.
- Route the sensor leads. Feed the 690 mm white and black leads through into the underside of the seat frame. Connect the male push-fit connectors to the matching white and black female connectors from the control box.
- Mount the control box. Position the control box under the seat and secure using the two screw holes or by zip tying it firmly in place. Ensure it is clear of moving parts.
- Connect the actuator lead. Plug the 1000 mm straight 5-pin DIN lead with retaining clips into your actuator socket.
- Double-check connections. Compare your installation to the reference photo you took earlier. Make sure all leads are connected securely and away from pinch points.
- Reconnect power and test. Plug your recliner back into the wall and test both the “up” and “down” touch sensors. Confirm smooth operation before returning the recliner to its normal position.
