3 Piece Toggle Link Sub Assembly Full Kit
Genuine La Z Boy mechanism replacement three-part set comprising of a Toggle Link Sub Assembly, Extension spring and a Truss head Bolt used together to help elevate the footrest plus keep it both open and closed. This is a unique set is manufactured for the Lazy Boy and Jason recliners. Common Lazy Boy part found in the majority of there recliners. This spare part is has the part numbers Toggle Assembly 12970416-00L, Extension spring 92000691-00 and Screw 96000076-06.
Tips On Installing This Lazy Boy Part
When the Toggle Link Sub Assemblies need replacing this is normally a result of the truss screw head snapping off and the toggle link warps under the stress of the extension spring. If this is the case then you may need to install the replacement parts in a new hole along the drive rod, thankfully La Z Boy allow for this and leave a spare hole. This is also the case if you require a right sided Toggle Link, this Left sided part is compatible and will fit in the spare hole and work just as well.

How To
How To
1, Lay a dust sheet on the floor
2, Safely tip forward the furniture remember safe lifting practices
3, We strongly recommend you photograph the mechanism prior to removing any parts so you know where they fit back onto
4, Release the toggle sub assembly extension spring
5, Remove all truss head screws and retaining spacer pins, 3 position ratchets (if fitted) from the drive rod
6, Release the leg rest shoulder bolts to release the leg rest extensions
7, Using the handle lever pull the whole drive rod out of the side of the chair until all relevant parts have been removed from the drive rod where you can then remove the Toggle Link Sub Assembly
8, Remove the original Toggle Link Sub Assembly and replace with the new Toggle Link Sub Assembly. Do not install the Truss Head Screw yet
9, Reinstall the drive rod and associated parts as you push the rod back in to the chair
10, Reinstall all truss head screws, retaining ring spacers and the extension spring
11, Reconnect the leg rest extensions to the rear swings
12, Reinstall the 3 position ratchets (if fitted)
13, Carefully move the furniture back to the standard resting position
14, Test the recliner mechanism.

Will this fit my La Z Boy?
If your recliner has this same angle toggle link and spring it will fit. If you have the opposite direction it will fit but you may need to use a differnt hole on the drive rod.
