Replace a lost or faulty hand control in minutes. This genuine OKIN remote (part numbers 1.11 000 035 30 / 1.11-035.30XK23J) has six intuitive buttons for head-up, head-down, foot-up, foot-down plus two combined “raise” and “flat” functions. The coiled lead carries both power and signals through a round 5-pin DIN plug, so there are no batteries to change and no pairing steps – simply plug it in and relax.
Genuine OKIN Quality for Betadrive, Okimat II / III & more
Built by Dewert-OKIN to the same specification supplied with many premium adjustable bases sold by Harvey Norman, Forty Winks, A.H. Beard and other Australian retailers. Suitable for any OKIN dual-motor system running on the standard 29 V DC line, including Betadrive and Okimat actuators, and factory-tested for smooth, quiet operation.
Check Your Plug & Button Layout Before Ordering
This handset fits beds that use a round 5-pin DIN plug and the identical six-button layout. If your old remote matches those two points, it will connect and operate flawlessly. It will not fit 7- or 8-pin plugs, RJ (telephone-style) sockets or wireless RF/Bluetooth controls. Unsure? Snap a photo of your plug and message us – we’ll confirm the right part.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide – Safe & Simple
- Disconnect power first.
Pull the bed’s mains plug from the wall and wait 30 seconds so any stored charge in the system can discharge. - Locate the actuator socket.
On this OKIN setup the handset lead plugs directly into the actuator motor mounted under the base (there is no separate control box).
• If you need to tip the bed or raise the platform, bend your knees, keep your back straight and enlist a helper for anything heavier than 20 kg.
• Clear the surrounding area so you have stable footing and good light. - Take a reference photo.
Use your phone to snap a clear picture of the actuator and every cable connected to it before you unplug anything.
This “before” photo makes re-assembly fool-proof. - Remove the old handset plug.
Grip the round 5-pin DIN collar where it enters the actuator and then pull straight out. - Connect the new remote.
Line up the notch on the new 5-pin plug with the keyway in the actuator socket, push it fully home.
Route the coiled lead so it can’t snag or be crushed when the bed moves. - Restore power & test.
Plug the bed back into the wall. Press each button once – head-up, foot-up, and “flat” should all respond immediately.
Safe lifting checklist
- Lift with your legs, not your back; hold the load close to your body.
- Plan your path before moving the base or mattress.
- Use furniture sliders or get a second person for heavy frames.
- Never twist while lifting – pivot with your feet instead.

FAQs
FAQs
Will this handset work with my adjustable bed frame?
Yes, if your current remote (or socket on the control box) uses a round 5-pin DIN connector and the same six-button layout, this replacement will be a direct plug-in swap. It’s compatible with most OKIN Betadrive and Okimat II/III dual-motor systems running on 29 V DC.
he part number on my old remote is 1.11-035.30 XK23J—does that matter?
No. The codes 1.11 000 035 30 and 1.11-035.30 XK23J refer to the same electronic design; the suffix simply denotes factory batch details. Functionally, the handsets are identical and interchangeable.
How do I install the new remote—do I need to pair or program it?
No pairing is required. Unplug the bed at the wall, twist-unlock the existing 5-pin plug from the control box, push the new plug in (aligning the notch), lock it, then restore power. Total swap-over time is under five minutes.
My old remote has an 8-pin plug—can I still use this replacement?
Unfortunately not. Handsets with 7- or 8-pin DIN plugs (or RJ telephone-style connectors) use different wiring and protocols. Send us a photo of your plug and we’ll help you find the correct model.
Who makes this remote controller?
This is made by Okin/Dewert who are a reputable manufacturer of recliner electronics.
Does the handset come with a warranty?
Yes. As a genuine OKIN part it carries a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects. If you encounter any issues during that period, contact Sofa Rehab for troubleshooting, repair or replacement.
