How To Install: 4 Pack Recliner Feet with Bolts
Tools you’ll need: 10 mm hex spanner (or 10 mm socket).
Time required: About 5–10 minutes.
- Prepare the chair. Ensure the recliner is disconnected from power (for electric models). Position the chair so you can access the mechanism base rails at the four corners.
- Locate the mounting points. Identify the existing 6 mm holes in the metal base rails (Leggett & Platt, RMT, Kaidi, Okin and most generics will have these at the four corners).
- Remove old feet (if fitted). Unscrew and take off any remaining feet or fasteners. Brush away any debris so the new feet sit flat.
- Assemble each new foot. Push one supplied bolt through the centre hole of a plastic foot (7 mm hole, foot faces the floor).
- Start the thread by hand. Hold the foot in place over the 6 mm rail hole and turn the bolt by hand 2–3 turns to ensure it bites cleanly (self-tapping design creates its own thread).
- Tighten with a 10 mm spanner. Keep the foot flat against the rail and tighten until snug. Do not overtighten (stop when the foot is firmly seated and does not rotate).
- Repeat for all corners. Fit the remaining three feet in the same way so all four corners match in height and position.
- Final check. Set the recliner back in place and test for wobble. If there is movement, re-snug any bolt that feels loose.

FAQs
FAQs
Will these recliner feet fit my chair?
These feet suit most manual and electric recliner mechanisms from Leggett & Platt, RMT, Kaidi, Okin and other generic brands that use a 6 mm hole in the base rails. If your mechanism has 6 mm holes in each corner, these feet will fit.
Do I need special tools to install them?
No. The only tool required is a 10 mm hex spanner (or socket). The supplied bolts are self-tapping, so they cut their own thread as you install them.
How big are the feet?
Each foot is 31 mm wide, 12 mm deep, with a 19 mm inner diameter and a 7 mm central hole. This is a standard size for most recliner bases.
Can I buy more than one pack if I have multiple recliners?
Yes. Each pack contains 4 feet with bolts, enough for one chair. For multiple recliners or sofas, simply order additional packs.
What are the bolts made from and how long are they?
The bolts are made from strong black metal, 19 mm long (including head), with a 13 mm threaded section and 6.75 mm thread width. They are designed to be durable and secure the feet firmly in place.
