Replacing your recliner switch is a straightforward DIY job, but always take a few precautions for safety and best results. Follow these steps to complete the installation:
- Disconnect the power supply. Unplug the recliner from the wall outlet before beginning any work to avoid electrical risk.
- Take a picture first. Before removing the old switch, take a clear photo of the wiring and plug connections. This will give you a reference point for reconnecting the new switch correctly.
- Remove the old switch. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to undo the screws holding the switch in place. Remember to use safe lifting techniques if you need to move or tilt the recliner for access.
- Disconnect the cable. Gently unplug the 5-pin DIN connector from the junction box or actuator port.
- Install the new switch. Position the eMoMo E502URRW into the armrest, connect the 90-degree 5-pin DIN plug, and secure the housing with the supplied screws. Fit the removable screw cover for a neat finish.
