How to change just the handset section only (Most common way to fix)
1,Unplug and disconnect power to the recliner
2,Locate retaining clip located within the outside arm pocket or inside the base of chair and lift open the latch
3,Unplug the two plugs and separate the two parts
4,Plug in new handset plug into the extension cable
5,Close retaining clip
6,Reconnect the power and test the recliner.
How to change the entire handset and extension cable (You do not normally need to replace the whole handset and extension cable)
1,Unplug and disconnect power to the recliner
2,Locate retaining clip located within the outside arm pocket or inside the base of chair and lift open the latch
3,Unplug the two plugs and separate the two parts
4,Place a dust sheet on the floor
5, Turn over the chair using safe lifting techniques
6, Locate the extension cable coming from the inside of arm
7,Trace the cable back to the actuator/motor , remove any cable clips and unplug the 5 pin plug
8, Turn the chair back to the standard chair position and place the new handset extension cable into the outside arm pocket
9, Turn the chair over again and locate the new extension cable and plug the 5 pin plug into the actuator/motor
10, If required reattach any cable clips etc.
11, Turn chair back over to standard chair position
12,Reconnect the power and test the recliner.

Will this fit my Lift chair?
Yes, If the remote model number matches, or it has the same plug pin configuration and amount of buttons.
My remote has different name/numbers will it still work?
If your's has 4 buttons plus check the plug, if the plug has the same shape and same pin configuration then it should work.
I have a normal electric recliner chair will this fit?
No, this remote can only be used on lift and tilt recliner chairs with 4 buttons.
