eMoMo Tech HX90HUN Left Hand Operated Recliner Switch with USB
The eMoMo Tech HX90HUN is a genuine replacement electric recliner switch used on powered recliner chairs, sofas and theatre lounges with electric footrest and headrest functions. This silver oval switch has a plastic housing with a metal fascia, four movement buttons, a centre home button and a USB-A charging port. The front rocker buttons open and close the recliner footrest, the rear rocker buttons open and close the powered headrest, and the middle home/reset button closes both mechanisms together.
HX90HUN Left Hand Operated Switch: Which Side Does It Fit?
This HX90HUN switch is the left hand operated version. This means the switch is fitted to the left hand side of the recliner when you are sitting in the chair, so your left hand presses the buttons. This same side may also be described as RHF, or right hand facing, which means the switch is on the right hand side when you are standing in front of the furniture and looking at it.
Need the Opposite Side HX90HU Switch?
This listing is for the HX90HUN left hand operated switch. If your existing switch is fitted to the right hand side when you are sitting in the recliner, you need the opposite side version. Please see our HX90HU right hand operated recliner switch (click here) if your switch is operated by your right hand when seated in the chair.
Check the Barcode Before Ordering
Look for a barcode code that starts with SN: or WT: followed by E90HUN. The important part to match is E90HUN or HUN. Any additional letters or numbers after HU or HUN are usually manufacturing codes and do not normally need to match exactly. If your barcode shows E90HU instead, you likely need the opposite side HX90HU switch.

How To Install the eMoMo HX90HUN Recliner Switch
Before starting, take a clear photo of your existing switch, cable route and plug connection. This gives you a handy reference if you need to check the original position, wiring direction or how the retaining clips were fitted.
- Turn off and unplug the recliner. Disconnect the recliner from the wall power socket before working on the switch. If your recliner has a battery backup, disconnect or remove the battery as well.
- Move the recliner safely. Carefully move the recliner away from the wall so you have room to work. Use safe lifting techniques by bending your knees, keeping your back straight and asking another person to help if the furniture is heavy or awkward to move.
- Partially remove the old switch. Gently remove the existing switch from the arm of the recliner. Most switches are held in place with screws or retaining clips. Avoid pulling hard on the cable until you can see how it is connected.
- Check the model code before disconnecting. Look for the barcode sticker on the existing switch cable or housing. The correct left hand operated version should show HX90HUN, E90HUN, SN:E90HUN or WT:E90HUN. Any extra letters or numbers after HUN are usually manufacturing codes.
- Disconnect the 5 pin plug. Follow the switch cable to the straight DIN 5 pin plug. Release the retaining prongs or clips, then gently pull the plug apart. Do not pull from the cable itself. Hold the plug body where possible.
- Connect the new HX90HUN switch. Push the new switch plug into the matching socket, making sure the pins are aligned correctly and the retaining prongs are secure. The plug should connect firmly without needing excessive force.
- Test the switch before fully refitting. Reconnect the recliner power and carefully test the front rocker buttons, rear rocker buttons, home/reset button and USB-A port. The front buttons should operate the footrest, the rear buttons should operate the headrest, and the middle button should close both mechanisms together.
- Refit the switch into the arm. Once tested, turn the power off again and neatly position the cable so it will not be pinched, crushed or caught in the recliner mechanism. Refit the switch into the arm using the original screws or retaining clips.
- Final safety check. Plug the recliner back in and test all functions again. Check that the cable is clear of moving parts and that the switch sits securely in the arm of the furniture.
If you are unsure whether this is the correct switch, or if your plug, model number or button layout looks different, contact Sofa Rehab before installation. We can help you identify the correct replacement part for your recliner.

FAQs
FAQs
Is the HX90HUN the left or right hand switch?

What is the difference between HX90HUN and HX90HU?
The HX90HUN and HX90HU are opposite side versions of the same style eMoMo recliner switch. The HX90HUN is left hand operated when seated, while the HX90HU is right hand operated when seated. Check which hand operates your existing switch before ordering.
How do I know if this switch will replace my old one?
Partially remove your existing switch and check the barcode sticker. Look for HX90HUN, E90HUN, SN:E90HUN or WT:E90HUN. Extra letters or numbers after HUN are usually manufacturing codes and do not normally need to match exactly.
What do the buttons on this switch control?
The front rocker buttons open and close the footrest or recliner mechanism. The rear rocker buttons open and close the powered headrest. The middle home/reset button closes both mechanisms together, and the switch also includes a USB-A charging port.
Can I install this recliner switch myself?
