Description

ARU69-O-BB-WS-10SL-9-01 USB Recliner Arm Switch – Universal 5-Pin Replacement

Restore full powered-recline functionality — plus handy device charging — with this genuine Mulin side-mounted switch module. Model ARU69-O-BB-WS-10SL-9-01 combines a smooth two-way rocker for feet-up / feet-down, a round blue-LED button to toggle lounge lighting, and a 5 V USB-A charging port, pre-wired to a 5-pin DIN motor plug and inline 2-pin “OI” light plug. Clip-on satin-silver bezel (108 mm × 48 mm) gives a neat factory finish once dropped into the armrest cut-out.

Mulin Recliner Switch Replacement with 5 Pin Din Plug

Before ordering, count the pins on the round DIN connector in your chair. This replacement is wired for the **standard 5-pin** ARU65 harness that most modern lounges use. It will not fit control boxes that take an 8-pin handset or dual plugs. If you are unsure, take a quick photo of your existing plug and send it through—our support team will confirm compatibility.

How To

How To

Step-by-Step Fitting Guide – Mulin ARU69 Side-Mounted Switch

  1. Disconnect all power.
    • Unplug the recliner’s transformer from the wall (and remove any 9 V backup batteries).
    • Wait 30 seconds for stored charge to dissipate before touching the wiring.
  2. Position the chair safely.
    • With a helper, tip the recliner onto its side or back so the arm switch is easy to reach.
    • Lift from solid timber or metal points – never by the footrest or arm cushions – to avoid injury or damage.
  3. Remove the old bezel & screws.
    • Pry off the trim bezel with a plastic trim tool or fingernails.
    • Undo the two Phillips screws holding the switch module to the frame.
  4. Take a clear photo before unplugging.
    • Capture the 5-pin DIN plug, 2-pin “OI” socket and the six DIP-switch positions on the back of the old unit.
    • This reference ensures correct re-wiring and LED behaviour later.
  5. Unplug the wiring loom.
    • Squeeze the latch on the 5-pin DIN and pull straight out.
    • Separate the inline 2-pin light jack from the lighting connection lead and unscrew the control box.
  6. Match the DIP-switch pattern.
    • On the new switch, flip each of the six DIP selectors to exactly mirror your photo.
    • This keeps motor direction, “Home” logic and LED timing in unison with the other seats.
  7. Install the new module.
    • Feed the loom through the 81 × 33 mm cut-out (check 46 mm clearance behind).
    • Re-connect the 5-pin DIN to the actuator port and the 2-pin light jack to the light connection until both slot home and close the relevent clasps. Screw the control box into position.
  8. Screw in & clip the bezel.
    • Align the housing, insert the two screws and tighten firmly – but don’t overtighten into timber.
    • Press the satin-silver bezel firmly until all edges snap flush.
  9. Return the chair upright & power on.
    • Lift the recliner back with your helper, ensuring no cables are pinched.
    • Plug the transformer into the wall and switch on.
  10. Function test.
    • Press the rocker: footrest should extend/retract smoothly.
    • Tap the blue LED button: courtesy lights should toggle on/off together.
    • If motor direction or LEDs behave opposite to expected, disconnect power and flip the relevant DIP switch(es) to the alternate position.

That’s it! In under ten minutes you’ve replaced the switch, kept your favourite seat out of landfill and saved the cost of a service call.
