Restore factory-smooth motion to your electric recliner or lift chair with this genuine Okin B15824 actuator. The unit runs on low-voltage 24 V DC, has a quiet worm-drive gearbox, and plugs directly into any standard Okin 5-pin handset harness positioned at a convenient 90 ° angle. Supplied ready to bolt in with standard clevis mounts, internal limit switches and an integrated lead, it’s the like-for-like swap when your original motor stalls, clicks or refuses to move. Expect the same stroke length, load rating and reliability the chair left the factory with—backed by Sofa Rehab’s 12-month warranty and expert support.
Is This the Right Actuator for Your Chair?

How To
How To
- Unplug All Power
• Switch the chair off at the wall and disconnect the transformer so the system is completely de-energised.
• Wait 60 seconds for any stored charge to dissipate. - Position the Chair Safely
• Lay a thick blanket on the floor to protect fabric and flooring.
• Safe-lifting reminder: tip the chair onto its side using your legs, not your back. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart, bend your knees and hold the frame close to your body. If the chair is heavy, get a second person and lift together on the count of three. - Take “Before” Pictures
• Use your phone to photograph the old actuator’s mounting pins, cable routing and both plug connections.
• These reference photos make re-assembly fool-proof. - Release the Clevis Pins – No Tools Required
• Pull out the R-clips (or hitch pins, if fitted) at each end of the actuator.
• Slide the clevis pins free and keep them handy for re-use. - Remove the Old Actuator
• Support the mechanism with one hand while sliding the motor clear.
• Unplug the round 5-pin handset lead. - Install the New B15824
• Align the eyelets with the bracket holes, insert the clevis pins and re-fit the R-clips.
• Route the cable exactly as per your photos and push the 5-pin connectors together. - Return the Chair Upright – Safely
• Again, lift with your legs and keep the load close; work as a team if needed. - Power-Up & Function Test
• Reconnect the transformer, switch on at the wall and cycle the chair fully open and closed to confirm smooth travel with no cable pinch points. - Final Safety Check
• Visually verify that all pins are fully seated and R-clips secure.
• Tuck excess cable away from moving parts using cable ties if required. - Dispose of the Old Unit Responsibly
• Drop the worn actuator at your local e-waste recycling centre.
