What Is A Lithium Battery?
Lithium-ion or Li-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery that uses the reversible intercalation of Li⁺ ions into electronically conducting solids to store energy.

What IS The Difference Between Batteries?
The main differences to note are storage capacity, connections and uses and we explain further here-
Storage Capacity –
Capacity of the battery is recorded in milliampere-hour (mAh) and Watt-hour Wh, basically the higher the figure the more storage it will store and more cycles between charges. Electric recliner rechargeable batteries range between 1300mAh and 2600mAh as standard.
Input Charge-
This varies between batteries and is between 29V-35V.
Discharge Current (Output)-
This varies between batteries and is between 29.V, 3 Amps and 8 Amps
Connections –
Electric recliner batteries have one of three connection types and it is important to match your current electric connections to the battery so that they will connect and will charge the battery as and when needed.
Common Types –
1, OI 2 pin, Pin and Spade or Hi-Fi (3 different names same type)
2, DC plug
3, 6 or 8 Pin round din plug.
Common Uses –
Electric recliner armchairs, sofas, and theatre lounges etc…
Electric Lift and tilt armchairs (Not all batteries are suitable for lift chairs)
How does It Connect –
This is general advise as there are many different situations relevant to different brands.
Common practice is that a rechargeable battery replaces the traditional wall power transformer at the exact same connection point the traditional transformer connects to on the furniture. Most batteries are supplied with a bracket(s) to secure the battery onto the furniture generally in a area out of view.
How To Charge The Battery –
All Lithium batteries require a separate wall power supply transformer to recharge the battery as and when the time comes. Generally the furniture is supplied with a traditional wall transformer adapter from new and the user would then utilise this original transformer to recharge the lithium battery. If the user happens to have no wall power transformer they will need to purchase a new set from our website as well. To recharge the battery once it has run low you can either leave the battery connected to the furniture or disconnect it and plug in the traditional wall power supply transformer adapter until the battery is fully charged, this can be anywhere between 3-8 hrs.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND LEAVING A BATTERY ON CHARGE WHEN NOT HOME OR OVERNIGHT.

All rechargeable lithium batteries have limitations and fluctuations in operating capabilities and this JLDP.11.014.000 Li-ion 2550mAh battery is no different. This battery requires charging every 6-8 weeks even if it has not been used or low on charge.

Will this connect to my electric recliner?
For this to work you need to already have the OI pin connector cable and the external standard 2.0A transformer adapter to charge the battery. Purchase these from our store. If you are just replacing the battery pack and therefore only need this battery and it plugs into the existing set up.
How long does it take to charge?
Approximately 8 hrs to fully recharge.
How long will the charge last?
This is very dependant on various contributory factors such as how heavy the furniture and user are, if any back lit LED switches, remotes with illuminated buttons or seat touch sensor buttons installed as these all draw continuous power from the battery and drain the charge. However we expect the battery to supply multiple reclines (approximately 250 cycles) but an exact number is not possible to determine.

No, This is German from Okin refined in Germany.
If I do not have a Lithium Ion battery pack already can I use this one with my existing set up?
Yes, You can connect your original power supply to this lithium battery to charge it. Your current electrical set up needs to be the OI plug version.

How do I charge this lithium battery pack?
You connect a 2.0A power supply transformer to the furniture and wall socket to charge. You will normally already have this power supply if not you can purchase them from our store.
Can I run two recliners from this battery?
No if you have two separate items IE two armchairs.
Yes if you have a 3str or 2str etc on the same item, you will however need to purchase a splitter cable from our store to enable the link up of two recliners to one battery. Note two recliners will drain a battery twice as quick as one recliner.
Will this work on a recliner lift chair?
Yes this is suitable for power recliner armchairs, lift chairs and sofas.
