This universal replacement KDDY001B ac dc transformer with provisions for two 9V batteries has all the usual features of our standard 2.0A power supply but with the added feature of “emergency one time power back up”. If your power is interrupted whilst using the recliner this power supply will have enough power to close the recliner once. Note if the batteries have been used then you must replace them to be sure you have back up.

**Note 2 x 9V batteries are not supplied and the batteries will only close the recliner once and is not designed to open the recliner. It is also recommended to change the batteries yearly.

However, this unit is designed to be powered via a standard 240V wall socket and includes a compartment for two 9V batteries purely as an emergency backup in the event of a power outage. They are not rechargeable and cannot operate the recliner on a continuous basis unless reconnected to the 240V power point.
