The ZB Power ZB-H290020-B is a replacement AC/DC transformer for compatible electric recliner, lift chairs and powered lounges. It accepts 100-3240V AC mains input and delivers 29V DC, 2.0A and 58W through a built in female 2 pin OI socket. The nit also features a figure 8 mains socket, green power indicator and internal provisions doe two options 9V backup batteries. The transformer body measures 190mm long, 61m wide and 38mm deep, with an overall bracket length of 216mm and mounting holes spaces 205mm centre to centre. How to Install a ZB Power ZB-H290020-B Transformer
Replacing a matching electric recliner transformer is a straightforward plug-and-play repair with no electrical rewiring required. Before installation, compare the model number, electrical output, socket configuration, polarity and mounting measurements with your original power supply.
What You Will Need
- ZB Power ZB-H290020-B replacement transformer
- Compatible figure-8 mains power lead
- Compatible 2-pin OI DC lead
- Screwdriver suitable for the mounting screws
- Suitable mounting screws if the originals cannot be reused
- 2 × matching 9V batteries if using the optional backup provision
Installation Instructions
- Return the furniture to its normal seated position.
Fully close the footrest and ensure nobody is sitting in the chair. - Disconnect the mains power.
Switch off the power point and unplug the recliner’s mains lead from the wall socket. - Locate the existing transformer.
Find the power supply beneath or behind the furniture and keep clear of the recliner mechanism, wiring and moving pinch points. - Check the replacement specifications.
Confirm that the original transformer has a matching 29V DC, 2.0A output, compatible polarity, figure-8 mains connection and female 2-pin OI output socket. - Disconnect the existing leads.
Unplug the figure-8 mains lead and 2-pin OI DC lead by gripping their plug bodies. Do not pull directly on the cables. - Remove the old transformer.
Support the transformer while removing its mounting screws, then carefully lift it away from the furniture frame. - Mount the replacement transformer.
Position the new unit with enough clearance around the sockets and battery compartment. Align the 205mm centre-to-centre mounting holes and secure both brackets using suitable screws without overtightening. - Fit the optional backup batteries.
Open the battery compartment, connect 2 × matching new 9V batteries to the clips with the correct polarity, place them inside the compartment and securely refit the cover. - Reconnect the DC and mains leads.
Insert the compatible 2-pin OI DC lead into the female output socket, then connect the figure-8 mains lead to the opposite end of the transformer. - Restore power and test the furniture.
Plug the mains lead into the wall socket, switch on the power and check that the green indicator illuminates. Briefly test each recline and lift function to confirm correct operation.
Important Safety Information
Only reuse leads that are undamaged and have the correct connections. Do not use cables with exposed wiring, crushed insulation, bent pins or loose plugs. Keep the transformer indoors and dry, allow ventilation around the unit and never work beneath the furniture while its mechanism is moving.
