FAQs
FAQs
How do I pair the handset to my adjustable base?
Insert three fresh AAA batteries. Unplug the bed’s power cord for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, then press and hold Head ▲ + Foot ▲ on the remote. When the keypad back-light flashes twice, release the buttons—the bed should now respond.
Will this remote work with my model of bed?
Yes, provided the control box under your frame starts with JLDP-03-… or your old handset shows a part code beginning JLDK.18… (or FCC ID PCU-JLDK-18-4). If those labels don’t match, reach out to us before ordering and we’ll identify the correct replacement.
What batteries does it use, and how long will they last?
The remote runs on three standard AAA alkaline cells. With average nightly use you can expect 12–18 months of service before the low-battery indicator starts to dim.
Can I use two of these remotes on a split-king setup?
Absolutely. Pair each handset to the control box on its own side, one at a time. Okin’s multi-channel 2.4 GHz system prevents cross-talk, so each half of the bed will respond only to its designated remote.
Who makes this remote controller?
This is made by Okin who are a reputable manufacturer of recliner electronics.
The bed still won’t move after pairing—what should I check next?
First, confirm fresh batteries are installed in the correct polarity. Make sure you completed the pairing within 30 seconds of reconnecting power, and keep the remote within three metres of the receiver during the process. If the control box never enters pairing mode (its LED should blink), the power point or surge protector may be off, or the control box itself may need service—contact us and we’ll step you through further checks.
