Replace your faulty recliner cup holder control unit with this genuine Mulin MLZB020-D1(A) model, designed for armrest installation in electric recliner chairs, sofas and theatre lounges. This multifunction unit combines a cup holder with an integrated touch control panel, allowing you to operate footrest, headrest and lighting functions from one convenient location.
This version features silicone touch buttons, offering a softer and more responsive feel compared to the standard MLZB020-D1 variant, while maintaining the same functionality and layout.
Note this is not compatible with MLZB020 (click here) or MLB020-B1 (click here) we sell these also.

How To Install the MLZB020-D1(A) Recliner Cup Holder Controller
Before starting, switch off the power at the wall and disconnect your recliner from the power supply. If your furniture is heavy, use safe lifting techniques and get help from another person before tilting or moving it. We also recommend taking a clear before photo of the existing cup holder, plugs, wire routing and screw positions so you have a handy reference during reassembly.
Step 1. Remove the cup insert and any inner trim pieces so you can access the mounting screws underneath.
Step 2. Carefully move or tilt the furniture as needed to gain safe access to the underside of the armrest. Avoid straining your back and do not lift heavy furniture on your own.
Step 3. Undo the mounting screws that secure the existing cup holder controller in place. Keep the screws aside somewhere safe.
Step 4. Gently lift the old unit upward from the armrest opening and locate the electrical connections underneath.
Step 5. Disconnect the plugs from the old unit, including the male 5 pin round DIN connection and the lighting system plug. Take note of how the wiring is routed and clipped into place.
Step 6. Compare the old and new parts side by side. Confirm the model number matches MLZB020-D1(A) and check that the plugs and layout are the same before continuing.
Step 7. Connect the new unit’s plugs, ensuring each connection is fully seated and any retaining clasp is properly secured.
Step 8. Lower the new cup holder controller into the armrest opening and align it correctly in the frame hole.
Step 9. Reinstall the mounting screws and tighten them evenly until the unit is secure. Do not overtighten.
Step 10. Refit the cup insert or trim pieces, reconnect the power supply, and test the footrest, headrest and lighting functions to make sure everything operates correctly.
