eMoMo HX90HUE Right Hand Recliner Switch with USB
The eMoMo Tech HX90HUE is a genuine replacement recliner switch used on dual actuator electric recliners, lounges and motion furniture. It has 4 directional buttons, a centre home button and a USB A charging port built into the silver metal fascia.
The front 2 buttons operate the footrest, the rear 2 buttons operate the headrest and the middle button returns the recliner to the home position. This switch uses a straight 5 pin DIN plug with retaining prongs and is supplied with a long connection cable for easy installation.
Right Hand Operated Switch When Seated
The HX90HUE is the right hand operated version. This means the switch is mounted where the user’s right hand operates it while seated in the recliner.
Some suppliers and furniture manufacturers may describe this same position as LFS, which means left facing side when standing in front of the recliner and looking towards it. This can be confusing because most recliners have the switch mounted on the outside arm, but some manufacturers fit switches to the console or inside arm instead.
For this reason, we strongly recommend matching the barcode sticker on your existing switch rather than relying only on the physical mounting position.
Check the Sticker Code Before Ordering
Many eMoMo recliner switches look almost identical from the outside, but they can be wired differently internally. Matching the model code on the sticker is the safest way to choose the correct replacement.
This HX90HUE switch is suitable when the barcode sticker on your existing switch starts with codes such as SN:, E: or WT: and then shows one of the following model references:
- 90HUE
- 90HUEV
- HX90HUE
If your existing switch label ends in HUEN or HUENV, this is the opposite side version. Please see our eMoMo HX90HUEN recliner switch (click here) instead.
If you are unsure which switch you need, contact us before ordering. Our team can help you identify the correct replacement from your switch label, plug type and photos of your existing part.

How To Install the eMoMo HX90HUE Recliner Switch
Replacing the HX90HUE recliner switch is a straightforward DIY repair for most electric recliners. Before removing anything, take a clear photo of your existing switch, cable routing and plug connection so you have a reference when fitting the new switch.
Always disconnect the recliner from the wall power before starting. If your recliner has a battery backup fitted, disconnect that as well. Move the recliner into a position where you have safe access to the switch and wiring, and use safe lifting techniques if you need to tilt or move the chair. Recliners can be heavy, so ask another person to help if needed.
- Unplug the recliner from the power point and disconnect any backup battery if fitted.
- Take a clear before photo of the existing switch, cable path and plug connection for reference.
- Locate the existing switch on the recliner arm, console or inside mounting position.
- Carefully remove the screws or fixings holding the switch in place. Keep the screws aside in a safe spot.
- Gently pull the switch out far enough to access the cable and plug. Do not pull hard on the cable.
- Follow the switch cable to the connection point and disconnect the 5 pin DIN plug by pulling the plug body, not the wires.
- Compare the old switch with your new HX90HUE switch. Check the sticker code, plug type, button layout and mounting position before installing.
- Connect the new switch plug to the matching recliner socket, making sure the plug is aligned correctly and fully seated.
- Position the new switch into the recliner arm or console and refit the screws or fixings.
- Check that the cable is routed safely and is not pinched, stretched or sitting near moving recliner parts.
- Reconnect the power supply and test the switch. The front buttons should operate the footrest, the rear buttons should operate the headrest and the centre button should return the recliner to the home position.
- If the switch does not work as expected, disconnect the power again and recheck the plug connection, cable routing and model code. Contact Sofa Rehab if you need help.
Important: Do not force plugs together, cut wires or modify the switch. Many eMoMo switches look similar but are wired differently, so matching the correct model code is important before installation.

FAQs
FAQs
Is the HX90HUE the right hand or left hand recliner switch?
The HX90HUE is the right hand operated switch when you are seated in the recliner. Some manufacturers may also describe this position as LFS, meaning left facing side when standing in front of the recliner and looking towards it.
How do I know if I need the HX90HUE or HX90HUEN switch?
Check the barcode sticker on your existing switch. If the code shows 90HUE, 90HUEV or HX90HUE, this is the correct switch. If the code ends in HUEN or HUENV, you need the opposite side HX90HUEN switch instead.
Can I choose the switch by appearance alone?
No. Many eMoMo recliner switches look almost identical but are wired differently internally. Always match the sticker code, plug type and button layout before ordering. If you are unsure, contact Sofa Rehab with photos of your existing switch and label.
What do the buttons on the HX90HUE control?
The HX90HUE is designed for dual actuator recliners. The front 2 buttons operate the footrest, the rear 2 buttons operate the headrest and the middle button is the home button, which returns the recliner to the home position.
Can I install this recliner switch myself?
Yes, most customers can replace this switch themselves with basic hand tools. Always unplug the recliner from power first, take a before photo of the existing wiring and use safe lifting techniques if you need to move or tilt the chair. Do not cut, modify or force any plugs together.
