Okin SW-4052 Recliner Power Supply Replacement
This Class 2 AC/DC switching power supply is a compatible replacement for Okin SW-4052 transformers used on electric recliner chairs, lift chairs, powered sofas and theatre lounges. It delivers 29V DC at up to 2.0A (58W), accepts 100–240V AC through a C8 “figure 8” inlet and has a female 2 pin OI socket for the matching round and flat plug.
The 100–240V AC input allows this power supply to be used in Australia or overseas with the appropriate C8 wall cable. Its green indicator provides a quick visual check that power is reaching the unit, while the IP20-rated enclosure is intended for dry indoor use.
Keep Your Working Cables and Save
This transformer is supplied on its own, allowing you to reuse working cables and add only the parts that need replacing. Check for cuts, crushing, loose plugs or damaged connectors, then choose what your setup requires:
- Transformer only: Reuse the working cables you already have.
- Wall cable: Add if the figure-8 lead is missing or damaged.
- OI cable: Add if needed. Choose from 1m, 2.3m or 3.5m lengths.
- Splitter cable: Add when one transformer needs to power multiple recliners or components.
- Complete set: Add both cables if the original set is missing, or if its cables are worn or damaged

How To Install Your Replacement Recliner Power Supply
Replacing an SW-4052 style recliner power supply with the JLDP.10.054.001 compatible replacement is usually a simple plug together repair. No special tools are required for most installations.
- Turn the recliner off at the wall and unplug the power cord from the power point.
- Locate the old power supply transformer. This is usually found on the floor behind the recliner, under the chair, or tucked behind the lounge.
- Disconnect the figure 8 wall power cord from the old transformer.
- Disconnect the 2 pin OI plug from the recliner cable or chair socket. Hold the plug housing when disconnecting, not the cable itself.
- Compare the old and new power supplies before fitting. Check that your old unit has 29V DC output and that the chair uses the same 2 pin OI plug with one round pin and one flat blade.
- Plug your C8 figure 8 wall power cord into the new replacement power supply.
- Connect the female 2 pin OI plug from the new power supply to the matching recliner cable or chair socket. Push the connection together firmly so it is fully seated.
- Place the transformer where it will not be crushed, pulled tight, caught in the recliner mechanism or trapped under the chair frame.
- Plug the wall cord back into the power point and turn the power on.
- Test the recliner using the chair buttons, handset or remote. Run the chair through a short open and close movement to confirm the power supply is working correctly.
- Check the cable position again while the chair moves. Make sure the cables stay clear of hinges, moving arms, metal frame parts and pinch points.
- Once tested, return the recliner to its normal position while keeping the transformer and cables safely routed.

FAQs
FAQs
Is the Okin JLDP.10.054.001 a suitable replacement for an SW-4052 power supply?
Yes, the Okin JLDP.10.054.001 is a suitable replacement for many Okin SW-4052 recliner power supplies where the original transformer has 29V DC output and the same 2 pin OI plug connection. The replacement unit has 29.0V 2.0A output, while the SW-4052 example we checked has 29V 1.8A output.
Will I receive an actual SW-4052 transformer?
No. This listing is for an SW-4052 replacement, but the power supply unit supplied is the Okin JLDP.10.054.001 compatible replacement model. It is used as a replacement for compatible SW-4052 recliner transformer setups with matching voltage and plug type.
What plug does the SW-4052 replacement power supply use?
The JLDP.10.054.001 replacement uses a female 2 pin OI plug socket with one round pin and one flat blade. It also accepts a C8 figure 8 wall power cord at the mains power inlet. Before ordering, check that your old SW-4052 power supply and recliner cable use the same plug style.
Can I replace my SW-4052 recliner power supply myself?
Yes, most SW-4052 power supply replacements are simple plug together repairs. Unplug the chair from the wall, disconnect the old transformer, connect the C8 figure 8 wall cord and 2 pin OI recliner plug to the new power supply, then test the chair. No special tools are usually required.
How do I know if my recliner transformer is faulty?
A faulty recliner transformer may cause the chair to stop working completely, work only sometimes, make clicking sounds without movement, or lose power when the recliner is under load. First check the wall power point, figure 8 power cord, OI extension lead, handset and chair connections. If the cables and controls look good but there is still no power, the SW-4052 transformer may need replacing.
Can I reuse my old SW-4052 cables with the replacement power supply?
Yes, you can usually reuse your existing C8 figure 8 wall plug and OI extension lead if they are in good condition and fit securely. If your cables are damaged, loose, crushed or missing, select the add on cable options near the Add to Cart button before placing your order.
