This genuine La Z Boy supplied ZBPOWER AC/DC transformer is a replacement power supply for compatible La Z Boy lift chairs using the 10 pin power connection. It is suitable for La Z Boy Platinum 55T, Platinum 55TH and Silver 51T lift chairs fitted with this transformer type.
The model number is ZB-H290020-B and the La Z Boy part number is 10.000132. It has a 29.0V 2.0A 58.0W output and is designed to power one compatible La Z Boy lift recliner.
This transformer supports a mains power range of 100v-240v and 50/60Hz making it suitable for use in any country.

The transformer accepts a standard figure 8 C8 wall power cord. We can supply AU, UK or US wall plug cord options, making it easier to replace a missing or damaged power lead. If your existing figure 8 wall cord is still in good condition, you may be able to reuse it with this transformer.
The transformer also has a green LED power indicator light, so you can easily see when the unit is receiving power.
Emergency 9V Battery Provision
This transformer has side provisions for 2x 9V batteries. The batteries are used for emergency closure during a power outage, helping return the chair from an open or raised position when mains power is unavailable.
The 9V batteries are not included. They are not intended to run the chair as a cordless battery pack, and they are not for normal opening or ongoing chair operation. Batteries should be replaced after one emergency use or after 12 months, whichever comes sooner.

How To Replace Your La Z Boy 10 Pin Lift Chair Transformer
This tutorial explains how to replace the power supply transformer on compatible La Z Boy Platinum 55T, Platinum 55TH and Silver 51T lift chairs using the 10 pin transformer connection. This replacement transformer is model number ZB-H290020-B and La Z Boy part number 10.000132.
Before starting, make sure your old transformer has the same 10 pin plug connection. This transformer is not suitable for the common 2 pin OI recliner plug, splitter cables, or powering a second recliner.
Before You Start
- Switch the power off at the wall socket.
- Unplug the wall power cord from mains power.
- Allow the chair to fully stop moving before disconnecting any plugs.
- Check that your old transformer label or plug matches the replacement part.
- Do not use this transformer with a splitter cable or second recliner.
Step By Step Installation
- Locate the old transformer.
Find the transformer power supply connected between the wall power cord and the lift chair. It is usually positioned behind or underneath the chair. - Disconnect the wall power cord.
Remove the figure 8 C8 wall power cord from the old transformer. If your existing wall cord is in good condition, you may be able to reuse it with the new transformer. - Disconnect the 10 pin chair plug.
Carefully unplug the 10 pin connector from the chair wiring. Do not pull on the cable itself. Hold the plug housing when disconnecting it. - Compare the old and new transformer.
Confirm that the new transformer has the same 10 pin male plug housing. The plug has a 10 pin layout, with the middle 5 pins used. - Connect the new transformer to the chair.
Push the 10 pin plug into the matching chair socket until it is fully seated. Make sure the connection is straight and secure. - Connect the wall power cord.
Plug your existing or selected optional AU, UK or US figure 8 C8 wall cord into the transformer, then plug the cord into the wall socket. - Check the power indicator.
Switch the wall socket on and check that the green LED indicator light on the transformer is illuminated. - Test the lift chair.
Use the chair remote to test the lift and recline functions. Stop immediately if the chair does not respond normally, if the plug feels loose, or if anything appears damaged.
Optional 9V Emergency Battery Setup

- Switch the chair off at the wall and unplug the transformer before fitting batteries.
