Please check your original actuator before ordering and confirm the following details are the same or compatible:

Model number on your old actuator
Stroke length
Install length

Mounting points
Clevis ends and attachment points

If the cables, plugs or attachment points look different to your original motor, please contact us with photos before purchasing.

Key Details to Check Before Ordering

Electric recliner actuators can look very similar, but small differences can stop a replacement from fitting correctly. The model number is an important guide, but it should not be the only detail used to confirm compatibility.

This replacement actuator has the following specifications:

Make: Dewert/Okin Refined/Phoenix Mecano
Original model being replaced: JLDQ.10.435.250C
Supplied replacement model: JLDQ.10.435.250A
Stroke: 250mm
Install length: 435mm
Rated voltage: 24V 50W
Duty cycle: 1 min ON / 8 min OFF

We recommend taking clear photos of your original actuator label, plug connections, cable routing and mounting points before removing it from the recliner. These photos are useful for checking compatibility and can help you reinstall the new actuator in the same position.

Need Help Matching the Right Recliner Motor?

Finding the right electric recliner actuator can be confusing because the same or similar motors may appear with different JLDQ model numbers. If you are unsure whether this is the correct replacement, send us photos of the old actuator label, plug ends, cables and both mounting points.

We stock a range of electric recliner actuator motors and spare parts, so if this is not the correct part for your repair, we may still be able to help you find the right replacement.

Do It Yourself and Save Time & Money

Replacing a recliner actuator is a practical DIY repair for many customers when the correct replacement part has been identified. Always unplug the recliner from power before starting, take photos before removing the old motor and follow the installation steps carefully.

By replacing only the faulty actuator instead of replacing the whole recliner, you can save money, reduce waste and enjoy the satisfaction of getting your electric recliner working again yourself.

How To Install a JLDQ Recliner Actuator

These instructions are a general guide for replacing a compatible Dewert/Okin Refined/Phoenix Mecano JLDQ recliner actuator. Always disconnect the recliner from power before starting and take care when moving or lifting furniture.

  1. Disconnect the power.
Unplug the recliner from the wall socket and disconnect the power supply transformer before working on the chair, sofa or lounge.
  2. Move the recliner safely.
Carefully move the recliner into a suitable working position. Use safe lifting techniques, avoid twisting your back, and get another person to help if the furniture is heavy, awkward or difficult to control.
  3. Take a before photo.
Before removing anything, take clear photos of the actuator, cable routing, plug connections, mounting points and attachment clips. These photos will help you refit the new actuator the same way.
  4. Locate the existing actuator.
Find the recliner actuator motor underneath the furniture. It is usually attached to the recliner mechanism at both ends with mounting pins, clips or clevis style attachments.
  5. Check the replacement actuator matches.
Compare the old actuator with the new replacement before removing the original part. Confirm the model, stroke length, install length, plug connections, cable layout, mounting points and attachment ends are the same or compatible.
  6. Disconnect the plugs and cables.
Carefully unplug the actuator cables from the matching connections. Do not pull on the wires themselves. Hold the plug body where possible and gently release any retaining clips.
  7. Remove the mounting clips or pins.
Support the actuator while removing the clips, pins or fasteners holding it to the recliner mechanism. Keep the original pins and clips safe if they are being reused.
  8. Remove the old actuator.
Once both ends are disconnected, carefully remove the old actuator from the recliner mechanism. Avoid forcing the mechanism or allowing the actuator to drop suddenly.
  9. Fit the new actuator into position.
Position the new JLDQ replacement actuator in the same orientation as the original. Refit the mounting pins, clips or fasteners securely at both attachment points.
  10. Reconnect the cables and plugs.
Route the cables the same way as the original actuator, using your before photo as a reference. Reconnect the plugs firmly and make sure the cables are not pinched, stretched, twisted or positioned near moving mechanism parts.
  11. Test the recliner before final positioning.
Reconnect the power supply and carefully test the recliner movement. Check that the actuator moves smoothly, the mechanism opens and closes correctly, and no cables are being pulled or trapped.
  12. Return the furniture to normal use.
Once you are satisfied the actuator is working correctly, carefully return the chair, sofa or lounge to its normal position. Continue to use safe lifting techniques and get help if needed.

If the recliner still does not operate after installation, check the power supply, handset or switch, cable connections and any loose or damaged plugs. If you are unsure, contact us with photos of your actuator, plugs and wiring layout for help.
