Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing Your Clevis Fork
- Disconnect the recliner from all power sources. Unplug the mains plug and ensure there is no residual power running to the unit.
- Place a protective sheet on the floor and carefully tilt the recliner onto its side or front. Remember to use safe lifting techniques.
- Remove the actuator pin and retaining clip from the broken clevis, then unscrew the damaged clevis fork.
- Install the new clevis by screwing it onto the actuator rod to the right (right-turn thread).
- Reinstall the actuator/motor pin and retaining clip to secure the new clevis.
- Carefully return the furniture to its normal position.
- Reconnect the power and fully test the recliner. Ensure all cables are positioned correctly and not pinched or overstretched.
