La Z Boy 45T Luxury Lift Chair Transformer for 3 Button and 5 Button Chairs
This genuine TiMotion TP2 transformer is suitable for La Z Boy 45T Luxury lift chairs that use the matching 29V 2.5A power supply and 5 pin round DIN plug with retaining clasp.
It is compatible with both the 3 button and 5 button versions of the La Z Boy Luxury lift chair, provided your original transformer label, output rating and low voltage plug match this replacement.
The older La Z Boy power supply part number 10.000127.0002 supplied with the original chairs is now discontinued. It was replaced by TP2-1053-008, and we supply TP2-H119-002 as the substitute replacement with matching electrical specifications and the same 5 pin plug style.
This replacement is also compatible with spec codes TP2-31A-1 and TP2-A1A-1A.
This transformer supports a mains power range of 100v-240v and 50/60Hz making it suitable for use in any country.
Emergency Battery Backup Provision
This transformer has a built in compartment for 2 x 9V LR61 batteries. Batteries are not supplied.
The battery backup is intended for emergency use, such as closing the lift chair during a power outage. It is not designed to run the chair as a cordless lift chair during normal everyday use.
If the batteries are used during a power outage, they should be replaced afterwards. If they are installed but not used, we recommend replacing them every 12 months so the emergency backup remains ready when needed.

This is different to the 2 pin OI plug used on some other TiMotion TP2 La Z Boy transformers. The transformer model and spec code printed on the label are helpful, but the plug type is one of the most important checks because some TiMotion TP2 power supplies can look similar at first glance.

How To Replace a La Z Boy 45T Luxury Lift Chair Transformer
This tutorial is for replacing the power supply transformer on a La Z Boy Luxury lift chair with either a 3 button or 5 button handset. Before fitting the replacement, compare your original transformer label, output rating and plug style to make sure it matches this 29V 2.5A 5 pin version.
Before You Start
- Turn the lift chair off at the wall power point.
- Unplug the wall power lead from the power point.
- Allow the transformer a few moments to fully power down.
- Move the chair carefully so you can access the transformer and low voltage cable.
- Do not force any plugs. The correct plugs should connect smoothly and securely.
Step By Step Replacement Guide
- Locate the original transformer.The transformer is usually located behind or underneath the lift chair, connected between the wall power lead and the chair’s low voltage wiring.
- Check the original transformer label.Confirm that your original transformer is a La Z Boy Luxury lift chair compatible power supply with 29V 2.5A output. Compatible identifiers may include the discontinued La Z Boy part number 10.000127.0002, TP2-1053-008, TP2-31A-1 or TP2-A1A-1A.
- Confirm the chair side plug.This replacement uses a 5 pin round female DIN plug with a retaining clasp. This is different to the 2 pin OI plug used on some other TiMotion TP2 transformers, so check the plug carefully before fitting.
- Disconnect the wall side power lead.Remove the figure 8 / C8 wall power lead from the old transformer. Inspect the lead for damage before reusing it.
- Disconnect the chair side plug.Release the retaining clasp on the 5 pin plug, then gently pull the plug apart. Hold the plug housing rather than pulling on the cable.
- Connect the replacement transformer.Push the new 5 pin round DIN plug into the matching chair socket and secure the retaining clasp. Make sure the connection is fully seated and not loose.
- Reconnect the wall power lead.Plug the figure 8 / C8 wall power lead into the replacement transformer, then connect the lead back into the wall power point.
- Check the power indicator.The green LED indicator should illuminate when the transformer has power. If there is no light, check the wall power point and the figure 8 / C8 wall power lead connection.
- Test the lift chair movement.Use the chair controls to test a short movement cycle. Confirm that the chair responds correctly to the handset before moving the chair back into position.
