Mulin CL2902-A 29V 2.0A Electric Recliner Power Supply
The Mulin CL2902-A is an AC/DC power supply transformer used on compatible electric recliner chairs, lift chairs, powered sofas and theatre lounges. It converts wall power into DC 29.0V 2.0A output for recliner furniture that uses the common 2 pin OI plug style with one round pin and one flat pin.
This transformer has a C8 figure 8 mains input socket on one end and a short attached 2 pin OI female output lead on the other end. The output plug includes a retaining clasp to help secure the connection to the matching recliner cable.
A green LED indicator light lets you quickly see when the transformer is receiving power.
This universal ac dc power adapter supports 100v to 240v wall power so its suitable for use in all countries.

This product is supplied as pictured, with the Mulin CL2902-A AC/DC transformer brick only, unless extra cable options are selected before checkout. The transformer includes its short attached 2 pin OI output lead, but the wall power cable, longer OI extension cable and splitter cable are optional add ons.

How To Replace a Mulin CL2902-A Recliner Transformer
This guide explains how to replace a compatible electric recliner AC/DC transformer using the Mulin CL2902-A 29V 2.0A power supply. The cable connections push together by hand, so no special tools or electrical work are normally required.
Important: Always disconnect the recliner from wall power before touching any cables. Do not use damaged, crushed, exposed or loose electrical leads. This transformer is for indoor use only and should not be opened, modified or repaired internally.
- Move the recliner into a safe working position.
Carefully move the chair, sofa or lounge forward so you can access the power supply area. Use safe lifting techniques and ask another person to help if the furniture is heavy. - Take a photo before unplugging anything.
Take a quick photo of the existing transformer and cable layout. This gives you a reference for how the wall power cable, transformer and OI extension cable were originally connected. - Turn off and unplug the recliner.
Switch the wall outlet off, then remove the mains power plug from the wall socket. Wait a short moment before disconnecting any recliner cables. - Inspect your existing transformer and cables.
Check that your original transformer label matches the required output rating of DC 29.0V 2.0A. Also confirm that your recliner uses the same 2 pin OI plug style with one round pin and one flat pin. - Disconnect the old transformer.
Unplug the figure 8 wall power cable from the transformer, then disconnect the 2 pin OI cable from the recliner side. If the OI plug has a retaining clasp, release it carefully before pulling the plug apart. - Connect the Mulin CL2902-A transformer.
Plug the figure 8 wall power cable into the C8 socket on the transformer. Then connect the attached 2 pin OI female output lead to your matching recliner OI extension cable or compatible recliner wiring connection. - Add any optional cables if required.
If you selected extra cable add-ons, fit them as needed. Use a new wall power cable if your original mains lead is missing or unsafe. Use a new OI extension cable if the cable from the transformer to the recliner is damaged, loose or too short. Use a splitter cable only when powering compatible recliner actions from one suitable transformer setup. - Reconnect power and check the LED light.
Plug the power cable back into the wall socket and switch the outlet on. The green LED indicator on the transformer should illuminate when the transformer is receiving power. - Test the recliner operation.
Carefully test the recliner open and close functions. Keep hands, cables, pets and loose items clear of the moving mechanism while testing. - Position the transformer and cables safely.
Place the transformer where it will not be crushed, pulled tight, trapped in the mechanism or exposed to moisture. Make sure the cables are not pinched under the recliner frame before moving the furniture back into position.
Troubleshooting After Installation
- No green LED light: Check the wall outlet is switched on, the figure 8 cable is fully inserted and the wall power cable is not damaged.
- Green LED is on but recliner does not move: Check the 2 pin OI connection is pushed together firmly and the retaining clasp is properly seated.
- Recliner only works intermittently: Inspect the OI extension cable and plug connections for looseness, crushing or damage.
- Plug does not fit: Stop installation and compare your original plug shape, voltage and output rating before proceeding.

How do I know if my electric recliner transformer is faulty?

First check that the wall outlet works and the cables are firmly connected.
