Okin SW-4052 AC DC Transformer

This replacement power supply is listed for customers replacing an Okin SW-4052 AC/DC switching power supply commonly used on electric recliners, lift chairs, powered sofas and theatre lounges.

You will receive the Okin JLDP.10.054.001 compatible replacement power unit. This is an Okin Class 2 AC/DC switching power supply with 29.0V 2.0A 58.0W output, a C8 figure 8 mains power inlet and a female 2 pin OI plug socket for connecting to compatible recliner wiring.

This replacement is suitable for many SW-4052 power supply replacements where the original transformer has 29V DC output and the same 2 pin OI style connector.

The original SW-4052 power supply and the supplied JLDP.10.054.001 replacement are both Okin power supply units. Okin is a Phoenix Mecano brand and is commonly used in powered furniture electrical systems.

The JLDP.10.054.001 replacement has a slightly higher output current rating than the SW-4052 example we have checked. Your SW-4052 example is rated at 29V 1.8A, while the JLDP.10.054.001 replacement is rated at 29.0V 2.0A. The voltage is the same, and the replacement has enough current capacity for compatible recliner systems using the same connection style.

The replacement power supply body measures approximately 116mm long x 59mm wide x 38mm deep. The female OI output lead measures approximately 200mm including the plug socket. The female OI plug has retaining clasp tabs but does not include a separate clasp.

Before ordering, compare your original power supply label and plug shape. This replacement is intended for SW-4052 style power supplies where the original unit has:

29V DC output

A 2 pin OI plug connection with one round pin and one flat blade

A C8 figure 8 mains power cord connection

An indoor IP20 rated power supply

The model number printed on your original power supply is helpful, but the label specifications and plug shape are the most important checks. If your old power supply has a different output voltage, different plug shape or a different chair connection, this may not be the correct replacement.

This listing is for the replacement power supply unit only. If your existing cables are still in good condition, you may be able to reuse your original C8 figure 8 wall plug and OI extension lead.

Replacing the complete set can be a good option if you are not sure which part has failed, or if the old cables are worn and you want a cleaner, more reliable power connection.

Replacing a recliner power supply is usually a simple do it yourself repair. Disconnect the old power unit, plug the C8 figure 8 wall cord into the new transformer, then connect the female 2 pin OI plug to the matching recliner cable or chair socket.

No special tools are usually required. Once connected, test the recliner using the chair buttons or remote before positioning the chair back against the wall.
