Genuine La Z Boy and Jason replacement 30T Toggle Link Extension Spring used in conjuntion with the toggle link sub assembly to help the footrest stay tightly closed or securely raised. Compatible with all types of toggle links including part number 1290416-00L and 1290416-00R versions

How To
How To
1, Lay a drop sheet on the floor and carfully turn the item over on to its front, please remember safe lifting techniques
2, Open the footrest to the highest position
3, Install the replacement extension spring putting the short hook end into one of the holes in the toggle link sub assembly (hole selection depends on the required tension needed, look for wear marks of the original extension spring as a hint to where it was fitted)
4, Next using a long screw driver, insert the screw driver shaft into the free hook on the extension spring, then move the screw driver shaft up over the top of the front support tube and using force push the screw driver forward stretching the spring up and over the front support tube.
5, Ensure the extension spring hook is securley hooked onto the front support tube
6, Close the footrest
7, Practising safe lifting techniques carefully put the item back to the standard position
8, Check the operation of the footrest
9, If the tension needs adjusting repeat the process and adjust the extension hook hole position.
