How To Tutorial
How To Tutorial
- Unplug the recliner from power. Disconnect the power supply from the wall socket before starting any work.
- Move the recliner safely. Use safe lifting techniques and ask another person to help if the chair or lounge is heavy. Avoid dragging the furniture across the floor.
- Take a before photo. Photograph the existing switch, plug connection and cable routing before removal so you have a reference when installing the new switch.
- Remove the silver fascia cover. Carefully remove the screw cover from the old switch to access the mounting screws.
- Unscrew the old switch. Use a screwdriver to remove the fixing screws, then gently pull the switch out from the arm of the recliner.
- Disconnect the plug. Follow the cable to the connection point and unplug the old 5 pin DIN plug. Release the retaining lugs carefully so the plug or socket is not damaged.
- Check the cut out size. Confirm the opening is at least 71mm wide x 25mm high x 60mm deep before fitting the new switch.
- Connect the new switch. Plug the new 5 pin male DIN plug into the matching socket, making sure it is fully seated and secured by the retaining lugs.
- Fit the switch into position. Place the switch body into the cut out, making sure the cable is not pinched, twisted or strained.
- Secure the switch. Refit the mounting screws, then clip the removable silver fascia cover back into place for a neat finish.
- Reconnect the power and test. Plug the recliner back into power and test all 5 buttons, including the home button, before returning the furniture to its normal position.
