Clevis Fork Replacement Guide (Easy DIY)
- Unplug all power to the recliner and remove the mains plug from the wall. Ensure no residual power is present.
- Place a protective sheet on the floor and carefully tilt the recliner onto its side or front, using safe lifting techniques.
- Remove the actuator pin and retaining clip from the old clevis, then unscrew the broken clevis fork.
- Install the new clevis fork by screwing it onto the actuator rod (left-hand thread).
- Reinstall the actuator pin and retaining clip to secure the new clevis in place.
- Carefully return the furniture to its normal position.
- Reconnect power and test the recliner to ensure all cables are properly positioned and not pinched or overstretched.
