This pivot bolt kit is a precision replacement component used in Leggett & Platt recliner mechanisms, particularly the 41T system commonly found in La Z Boy 2 button lift chairs.
Designed to restore smooth and stable movement, this kit replaces worn or damaged pivot points within the mechanism linkage. Rather than replacing the entire mechanism, you can repair the specific worn joint and get your recliner functioning properly again.

Also Available – Nylon Washer Version
We also stock the current version of this kit which uses a nylon load bearing washer, however these two versions are not interchangeable.
This original design kit (brass load bearing washer) is suited to mechanisms with a linkage hole size of approximately 12.7mm. The newer nylon washer version is designed for mechanisms with a larger linkage hole size of approximately 15.8mm.

How To Install – Pivot Bolt Kit Replacement
- Take a Photo Before You Start
Before removing anything, take a clear photo of the existing pivot bolt setup. This will help you reference the correct orientation and assembly when installing the new parts. - Disconnect Power and Prepare the Area
If working on an electric recliner or lift chair, unplug it from the power source. Position the chair to give yourself safe and easy access to the mechanism. - Use Safe Lifting Techniques
Recliners can be heavy and awkward to handle. Always use proper lifting techniques, get assistance if needed, and ensure the chair is stable before working underneath or around moving parts. - Remove the Old Pivot Bolt
Using a 14mm spanner or socket on the bolt head and a 12mm spanner on the lock nut, carefully remove the existing pivot bolt assembly. Take note of how the washers and components are positioned. - Inspect the Linkage Hole
Check that the linkage hole is approximately 12.7mm and free from excessive wear or damage. Clean away any debris before installing the new components. - Install the New Pivot Bolt Kit
