The HSW310-BB-PT features a clear 10-button layout to control every motorised function of your chair:
- Top row: Headrest open / close.
- Second row: Lumbar open / close.
- Centre directional arrows: Recliner mechanism open / close.
- Lower row: Backrest open / close.
- Bottom row: Footrest open / close.
An integrated USB charging port is located at the end of the handset, ideal for powering mobile devices while you relax.

How To Install Theorem 10 Button Recliner Remote
Replacing your Theorem HSW310-BB-PT handset is a quick and simple job that you can do yourself at home. No special tools or technical skills are required, and the only tool you may need is a Phillips head screwdriver to help remove or secure clips if your chair has them fitted.
Important Safety Tips Before You Begin
Always take a clear picture of your existing remote and connections before you disconnect anything. This will help you double-check the correct routing when fitting the new handset. Practise safe lifting techniques if you need to tilt or move your recliner — lift with your legs, not your back, and ask someone for help if the chair is heavy.
Step-By-Step Installation
- Unplug your recliner from the wall power supply before starting any work.
- Locate the current remote cable where it connects under or inside the chair frame.
- Release the retaining clip and gently unplug the 5-pin DIN connector from the socket.
- Carefully remove the old handset and set it aside.
- Plug the new Theorem HSW310-BB-PT remote into the same 5-pin DIN socket, making sure the side tabs are fully engaged to lock it in place.
- Secure the cable so it does not get trapped in the mechanism when the chair operates.
- Plug the recliner back into the wall power supply and test all six buttons, including the USB charging port.
Enjoy Your Restored Recliner
That’s it — your new remote is installed and ready to use. The whole process usually takes less than 10 minutes. Doing the replacement yourself saves the cost of a technician and gives you the satisfaction of a successful DIY repair.
