Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Lift Safely!
If you must tilt or raise the chair to access the underside, unplug all power first, ask a second person to help, bend at the knees, keep your back straight, and lift with your legs. Never twist while carrying and always rest the furniture on a padded surface.
Option 1 – Easiest: Resting on the Floor Behind the Furniture
- Disconnect Mains Power
Unplug the wall transformer from the 2-pin IO socket on the chair. - Position the Battery Pack
Place the ZB-B1800 flat on the floor directly behind the rear leg or frame rail.- Keep it clear of any moving mechanism arms.
- Ensure the LED panel faces outward for easy status checks.
- Provide at least 50 mm clearance around vents for cooling.
- Connect the 2-Pin Lead
Plug the battery’s flat-and-round IO connector into the chair’s socket until the clip clicks. Give a gentle tug to confirm it’s locked. - Charge Before First Use
Attach a 29 V charger to the battery’s barrel jack until the LED turns solid green (≈ 6 h). Unplug the charger—the chair is now cordless. - Tidy Excess Cable
Use Velcro straps or zip-ties to keep the lead off the floor and away from rocker bases or pets.
Good to know: Resting the pack on the floor makes future charging quick—just reach behind the chair and plug in the charger.
Option 2 – Neat & Secure: Mount Underneath with Plastic Brackets
The ZB-B1800 ships with two moulded plastic mounting brackets. Screws are not supplied so have eight gauge (≈ 4 mm) wood screws on hand.
- Select a Mounting Rail
Pick a flat timber or metal cross-brace that stays static through the full recline cycle. - Snap Brackets onto Battery Pack
Click the two brackets over the pack’s side rails; they act as feet and drill guides. - Mark & Pre-drill
Hold the assembly against the rail, mark the hole centres through the bracket slots, then drill small pilot holes (recommended for hardwood). - Screw Brackets to the Frame
Fasten each bracket using two screws. Do not over-tighten—snug is enough. - Plug In & Charge
Connect the 2-pin IO lead to the chair, then charge fully before use. The LED flashes green while charging and goes solid green when ready. - Final Cable Management
Secure loose leads with zip-ties, steering clear of scissors, lift arms or rollers.
Tip: If the chair is seldom used, top-up charge every 30 days. A slow red flash + beep means the battery is nearly empty—recharge soon to protect battery life.

FAQs
FAQs
Will the ZB-B1800 MC160 work with my recliner or sofa?
If your furniture’s power lead ends in the standard 2-pin “OI” plug (one round, one flat) and runs on a 29 V system, this battery is a direct fit. It’s the OEM replacement for Limoss codes ZB-B1800 / MC160 / 0500565 and is widely used in chairs built with OKIN, Kaidi, TiMotion, Dewert or eMoMo mechanisms. Unsure of your plug? Snap a photo and send it to us—our techs will confirm compatibility.
How long will the battery last on a single charge?
On a single-motor recliner you can expect roughly 150-200 full open/close cycles per charge. Dual-motor chairs, twin recliner set-up's, heavier users or continuous headrest articulation will shorten that number. A quick top-up every few weeks keeps the pack ready to go.
What charger do I need?
Any 29 V DC charger rated at 1.5–2 A with a 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm barrel plug will work. The Limoss TSW1 or BD-series chargers are purpose-built and ensure safe, balanced charging. (Tip: Charge time from empty to full is about 6 hours with a 2 A unit.)
Can one battery power two seats or a twin recliner?
Not recommended. The 1.8 Ah capacity is designed for a single seat. Two chairs sharing one pack will drain it quickly and may trip the battery’s overload protection. For multi-seat lounges choose two packs (one per seat) or step up to a higher-capacity unit such as the Okin BS-17.
How hard is it to install and do I need special tools?
Installation is a simple DIY task: unplug the wall transformer, plug the battery’s 2-pin lead into the chair, and either rest the pack behind the furniture or screw the supplied plastic brackets under the frame. A basic screwdriver is all you need—no wiring, soldering or programming involved.
Is this a reliable battery?
Yes, Limoss is a quality and reliable brand.
