This inline isolator cable solves the issue by giving you a simple ON/OFF switch between the battery pack and your recliner chair. A quick flick of the rocker cuts the power completely, extending battery runtime and giving you peace of mind.

How To Fit the ON/OFF Isolator Cable
- Turn off power at the wall or remove the battery: Make sure the recliner is not powered before starting.
- Locate the chair-side low voltage connection: This is the 2-pin OI plug where the transformer output or lithium battery normally connects to the recliner.
- Connect the isolator’s female plug: Push the female connector with retaining clasp from the isolator onto the male OI plug from the transformer or battery pack until it clicks securely.
- Connect the isolator’s male plug: Insert the male plug with side tabs from the isolator into the recliner’s female OI socket until it locks in place.
- Position the switch: Place the inline rocker switch in an accessible location, keeping the cable away from moving parts and sharp edges.
- Test the connection: Restore power (turn the wall outlet back on or re-insert the battery), switch the rocker to ON, and operate the chair. Switch to OFF to confirm the recliner powers down completely.
Tips & Safety
- Use on the low-voltage side only: Fit between the chair and the transformer or lithium pack.
- Secure the connectors: Ensure they are fully pushed in until the clasp clicks into place.
- Avoid damage: Keep the switch and cable clear of mechanisms and moving parts.

Will this harness fit my chair if the handset plug has 8 pins?
No. This loom is designed only for the 5-pin P41LC handset used on La-Z-Boy Silver-Series 51T chairs. If your remote has an 8-pin plug, you’ll need the 55T loom instead—ask us and we’ll point you to the correct part.
Does the harness include the handset, control box or transformer?
The listing is for the wiring loom only. Handsets, control modules and power supplies are sold separately. We stock all three, so just let us know if you’d like them added to the order.
How difficult is the installation—do I need a technician?
Most customers install it themselves in under 10 minutes. You’ll unplug the old loom, route the new one along the same path and click the colour-coded connectors together. A Phillips screwdriver, cable-ties and safe lifting technique are all that’s required.
