Replacement KDDY008C Power Adapter Supplied as KDDY008B
This AC/DC adapter is a compatible replacement for Kaidi KDDY008C power supply transformers used on electric recliners, lift chairs, luxury lounge suites and theatre chairs. It delivers 29V DC at up to 2.0A (58W), accepts 100–240V AC through a C8 “figure 8” inlet and has a female 2-pin OI socket for the matching male recliner cable plug with one round pin and one flat blade.
The universal 100–240V AC input enables use in Australia or overseas with the appropriate figure-8 wall cable. A built-in power indicator provides a quick visual status check, while the retaining clasp helps keep the OI connection secure. The IP20 enclosure is designed for dry indoor use.

How To Install Your KDDY008B Recliner Transformer
Before starting, switch the power off at the wall socket and unplug the old recliner power supply. Do not work on the transformer while it is connected to mains power.
- Locate the old AC/DC transformer under or behind your recliner, lift chair or powered lounge.
- Take a clear photo of the old transformer label and plug connections before disconnecting anything. This gives you a reference if you need to check the setup later.
- Disconnect the figure 8 wall power cable from the old transformer.
- Disconnect the 2 pin OI cable from the output side of the transformer. This is the cable with one round pin and one flat blade.
- Check your cables for damage, crushing, bent pins, loose sockets or exposed wiring. Replace any damaged cables before using the new transformer.
- Connect the figure 8 wall power cable into the C8 input socket on the new KDDY008B transformer.
- Connect the 2 pin OI plug into the output side of the new transformer. Make sure the plug is aligned correctly and pushed firmly into place.
- If you are using an OI extension cable, connect it between the transformer and the recliner power connection.
- If you are using an OI splitter cable for two recliners, connect the splitter to the transformer output, then connect each recliner to one side of the splitter.
- Place the transformer on the floor in a safe position where it will not be crushed, stretched, pinched by the recliner mechanism or exposed to moisture.
- Plug the wall power cable back into the wall socket and switch the power on.
- Test the recliner buttons briefly to confirm the chair opens and closes normally.
- After testing, check again that all cables are clear of moving metal parts before fully using the recliner.
