Our Leather Colour Refresher Cream is designed to revive and enhance the original colour of pigmented leather and vinyl furniture that looks dull, faded, or generally worn overall. It is ideal when a lounge, recliner or sofa has lots of superficial wear marks, light scuffs and faded areas, and you want to improve the appearance evenly without individually repairing each mark.
This product is best suited to leather and vinyl surfaces that are structurally sound but visually tired. It refreshes colour, evens out patchy wear, and helps restore a cleaner, more consistent look across the entire piece.

While the Colour Refresher Cream can be purchased on its own, best results are achieved when the leather is properly cleaned first. Body oils, grease and ingrained dirt must be removed to allow the refresher to absorb evenly and enhance the colour consistently.

Leather Colour Refresher Cream is especially useful when the entire lounge looks old or colour-worn, and repairing each individual scuff or mark would be impractical.

Freshly repaired sections can sometimes stand out against older, duller leather, and this product helps bring the surrounding areas back into balance without requiring a full repaint.

How to Apply Leather Colour Refresher Cream
- Shake well before use.
Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the colour pigments and cream are fully mixed. - Clean the leather first (essential step).
Remove all body oils, grease, and ingrained dirt using a suitable leather wash. This step is critical, as the Colour Refresher Cream will not absorb evenly on dirty or greasy leather. Allow the leather to dry completely before proceeding. - Test the colour first.
Always test the Colour Refresher Cream on a small, hidden area of the furniture (such as the back or underside) to confirm the colour match and final appearance before applying more widely. - Apply using a soft cloth.
Apply a small amount of cream to a clean, soft cloth. Using gentle circular motions, work the cream into the surface, paying particular attention to worn areas, creases, edges, and high-use sections. - Build colour gradually.
Allow the first coat to dry fully, then apply additional coats as needed. It’s best to apply multiple light coats rather than one heavy coat to achieve a natural, even finish. - Maximum coats.
Up to three coats can be applied, ensuring each coat is fully dry before applying the next. Two to three coats typically provide the best results. - Final polish.
Once fully dry, lightly buff or polish the surface with a clean, dry cloth to achieve your desired sheen.
Important Notes:
This is a maintenance product, not a repair paint. It will not fix cuts, cracks, peeling, or worn-through areas. Results may wear over time depending on use and cleaning, and reapplication may be required as part of regular maintenance. Suitable for pigmented leather and vinyl only. Not suitable for suede or nubuck.

Do I need to clean the leather before using this product?
Yes. Body oils, grease and ingrained dirt must be removed before application. Cleaning first is essential to help the colour refresher absorb evenly and deliver consistent results, especially on headrests, armrests and seating areas.
Is this product permanent?
It can provide long-lasting colour improvement, but it is not permanent. Much like boot polish, it may wear over time depending on use and cleaning, and may need reapplication as part of regular leather or vinyl maintenance.
What types of leather can I use this on?
This product is suitable for pigmented leather and vinyl surfaces. It is not suitable for suede or nubuck. If you’re unsure what type of leather you have, refer to our leather identification flowchart before purchasing.
What if I can’t find the right colour?
We stock over 60 popular standard colours, and we also offer a custom colour matching service. For custom matching, we require a physical leather sample with a minimum size of 30mm x 30mm so we can accurately match your existing colour (Fee and minimum order value apply).
Will this fix cracks, peeling or worn-through areas?
No. Leather Colour Refresher Cream is a maintenance product designed to enhance and refresh colour, not repair damage. If your leather has cracks, peeling, or worn-through areas, you’ll need a repair product or Leather & Vinyl Paint instead.
