This general AC/DC transformer is designed to restore power to electric recliner chairs, lift chairs, sofas and theatre lounges. With a standard output of 29V 2.0A, it is compatible with most recliners that use the common 2 pin (round pin, flat pin) OI connection.
This model is based on the widely used KDDY008B platform and suits a broad range of popular brands and systems. If your recliner has suddenly stopped working or lost power, replacing the transformer is often a quick and effective solution.
This universal ac dc power adapter supports 100v to 240v wall power so its suitable for use in all countries.

Replacing your recliner transformer is a quick and simple process that most people can do themselves in just a few minutes. No electrical experience is required, and in most cases, no tools are needed.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Disconnect Power: Unplug your recliner from the wall power socket before starting.
- Locate the Transformer: The transformer is usually found underneath the recliner, connected between the wall power cable and the recliner’s motor system.
- Disconnect the Old Transformer: Unplug the figure-8 (C8) power cable from the transformer, then disconnect the 2 pin OI cable that runs to the recliner. If your existing model has retaining clips, gently press them to release the plug.
- Connect the New Transformer: Plug your existing 2 pin OI cable into the new transformer. This model uses a push-fit connection, so simply push the plug firmly into place until secure.
- Reconnect Power Cable: Insert the figure-8 power lead back into the transformer.

This transformer doesn’t have retaining lock clips – does it matter?
No, it does not affect the performance of the transformer. This model uses a push-fit 2 pin connection which still provides a secure and reliable connection when fully inserted.
