This genuine TiMotion TP2 transformer is suitable for La Z Boy XR and XR+ power recliner chairs that use the matching 29V 2.5A power supply and 5 pin round DIN plug with retaining clip.
The original La Z Boy transformer may show part number TP2-1053-008, La Z Boy part number 10.000110.0002 or La Z Boy part number 10.000127.0002. We supply TP2-H119-002 as the direct replacement, with matching electrical specifications and the same 5 pin low voltage plug style.

This transformer supports a mains power range of 100v-240v and 50/60Hz making it suitable for use in any country.
Emergency Battery Backup Provision
This transformer has a built in compartment for 2 x 9V LR61 batteries. Batteries are not supplied.
The battery backup is intended for emergency use, such as closing the recliner during a power outage. It is not designed to run the recliner as a cordless chair during normal everyday use.
If the batteries are used during a power outage, they should be replaced afterwards. If they are installed but not used, we recommend replacing them every 12 months so the emergency backup remains ready when needed.

How To Replace a La Z Boy XR or XR+ Recliner Transformer
This tutorial is for replacing a La Z Boy XR or XR+ recliner power supply transformer that uses the 5 pin round DIN plug with retaining clasp. Before fitting the replacement, compare your original transformer label, output rating and plug style to make sure it matches this 29V 2.5A 5 pin version.
Before You Start
- Turn the recliner off at the wall power point.
- Unplug the wall power lead from the power point.
- Allow the transformer a few moments to fully power down.
- Move the recliner carefully so you can access the transformer and low voltage cable.
- Do not force any plugs. The correct plugs should connect smoothly and securely.
Step By Step Replacement Guide
- Locate the original transformer.The transformer is usually located behind or underneath the recliner, connected between the wall power lead and the recliner’s low voltage wiring.
