Genuine La Z Boy mechanism replacement Retaining Ring Spacer pin. This spacing pin is used as a secure the older discontinued 3 position ratchet mechanism and spacer in the correct position whilst holding the rear swing bracket in the correct position on the drive rod. Compatible with all Lazy Boys and Jason recliner mechanisms using this type of Retaining Ring Spacer.

How To
How To
1, Lay a dust sheet in front of the furniture
2, Practising safe lifting techniques carefully turn the furniture over onto its front
3, Open the footrest fully
4, Locate the centre drive rod and the three position ratchet mechanism and broken Retaining Ring Spacer pin and fully remove all parts of the broken pin
5, Before installing the replacement pin make sure the rear swing is pushed back enough to access the drive rod hole and that the half moon metal spacer is in-situ on the 3 position ratchet mechanism
6, Install the replacement Retaining Ring Spacer ensuring the raised side of the pin is fitted over the 3 position ratchet mechanism to hold the metal half moon spacer in place and once in position using pliers bend the long exposed pin end around the underside of the drive rod to stop the pin from falling back out
7, Close the footrest
8, Practising safe lifting techniques carefully turn the furniture over into its standard position
9, Test the recliner
