How To Replace Your La Z Boy XR Plus Recliner Remote
Replacing the La Z Boy XR Plus 1186OU-07 remote is usually a simple plug-in repair. The Relaxor Ultra INSEAT 11860UT-00 remote supplied with this product connects in the same way and operates the same 10 button XR Plus functions, including the footrest, backrest, headrest and lumbar support.
Before You Start
Make sure the recliner is in a safe and stable position before replacing the handset. If possible, return the chair to its seated or closed position before disconnecting the power. You should also compare the new remote with your original handset to confirm the button layout and plug connection match.
Step 1: Turn Off and Unplug the Recliner
Disconnect the recliner from the wall power outlet before starting. This helps protect the chair’s electrical system and prevents the chair from moving while you are working on it.
Step 2: Locate the Remote Cable Connection
