What is Leather & Vinyl Paint Used For?
This is not a dye or pigment that alters the leather colour, instead the colourant paint should match your leather colour and can be applied to effectively cover up superficial damage and discolouration. Specifically designed for leather and vinyl, our leather paints will maintain the look & feel of your leather lounge, sofa or recliner.
Spill stains & discolouration. This is a great choice for painting over areas of discolouration that were caused by drink spills, pen ink, incorrect cleaning products, or harsh chemicals like acetone (nail polish remover). Not suitable for changing your leather colour which is a different product we sell.
Repair superficial damage. Leather & Vinyl Paint is perfect for covering up cosmetic damage to the surface of the leather, such as scratches, scuffs, slight peeling, and superficial marks on the leather surface caused by pets claws. Please see our Essentials Leather Repair Kit (click here) for tears, cuts, deep scratches and similar leather damage.
Suitable For Painted and Coated Leather Items
Our Leather & Vinyl Paint is ideal for painted, pigmented and coated leather types found in many furniture and vehicle interiors. Not suitable for aniline or dyed leathers which absorb products differently. To check what kind of leather you have, see our handy Type Of Leather Flowchart (click here) or contact us for assistance.

1- Cotton tips
2- Touch up sponge
3- Mouth atomiser (Must be diluted by 10% and strained through a paint strainer or similar)

5- Compressor and spray gun or hobbyist air spray nozzle (Must be diluted by 10% and strained through a paint strainer or similar)
6- Lint free cloth
Can I store the unused paint?
Yes, Store in the bottle, just keep it air tight, out of sunlight and at room temperature. This product has a long shelf life.
How long can I expect the leather colourant to last on my leather?
Sofa Rehab leather colourant is designed as a permanent solution to recolouring damaged leather, with the correct care and maintenance the colourant will last as long as the rest of the leather coatings.
What if the colour doesn't match when I apply it?
We firstly always recommend obtaining upto 6 free colour samples from our website.
Always recommend you apply and dry the colourant in an inconspicuous area to check for colour match and compatibility.
However if you wish to change/tint the colour you can purchase from us Colour mixing colourants to alter the main colour. If you want to remove the applied colour thius is best done asap and before too many coats are applied and dried, use water, moistoriser and use a soft bristle brush to quickly and easily remove unwanted colour. If the colourant has been allowed to dry and cure unfortunately removal is not possible. The colourant is designed to adhere well to the surface.

Highly recommend this product.

(verified owner)Good custom colour match.
Appling in thin layers, needs time to dry before blending / concealing with dappling of cotton bud and sponge.
Think it will be fine with another few subtle applications.

(verified owner)I was absolutely thrilled with the results I got with my purchase. I only needed one coat and my couch looks amazing. I had a worn centre area and a couple of worn seams. It was so easy to use and the result is perfect. I have only used a small amount from my 250 ml bottle so it’s going to last a long time. Great investment!!

(verified owner)Not sure if my previous review went through OK so just again…. I am absolutely thrilled with the results I got with this product. Only one coat required and it looks lovely. Has only been a week since I put it on but it looks just like it did when first done. I only used a very small amount of the bottle to achieve perfect results. Thank you.
