Zig Zag Upholstery Spring S-clips
Handy 10 pack of durable and strong replacement plastic coated metal EK spring clips suitable for no sag, serpentine or zig zag springs. These 9 gauge spring retaining clips are commonly attached to the chair or lounge timber frame to facilitate the secure connection of the seat, back or armrest springs. Each spring requires 2 x EK spring clips.

Uses – Attaching furniture Seat, back or armrest upholstery zig zag, sinuous and no-sag springs to the frame.
What gauge of spring- Can accept all gauges of upholstery serpentine style springs size/gauge 8-13.

NOTE THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS ASSUME YOU HAVE REMOVED ANY ACCESSORIES, FRAME OR FABRIC TO EXPOSE THE SPRING AREA!
Pro tip- Take a photo of the spring area before you start to note any specific areas like spring spaces or clip positions etc to refer back to if needed!
1, Carefully remove the screw, nail or staple holding the spring clip closed
2, Prise open the spring clip to reveal the metal retaining hook of the spring
3, Pull and lift the spring up, away and out the clip and release the spring tension (Be careful the spring will be under extreme tension and possible risk of injury)
4, Remove the next set of screws, nails or staples securing the spring clip to the frame
5, Remove the clip and clear the timber of any debris
6, Place the replacement clip directly in the same position as the original spring clip
7, Next fasten the spring clip to the timber rail with either a screw, nail or staple keeping space for the next fastener to fit once the spring and clip are closed
8,Carefully pull and retention the spring retainer hook end into the spring clip (Be careful the spring will be under extreme tension and possible risk of injury)
9, Use either thumb force or a hammer to close the spring clip encasing the spring with in the clips grasp
10, Install the last set of screws, nails or staples to secure the spring clip closed.
11, Refit any upholstery fabric and padding removed to access the spring area.

How many clips do I get?

Yes we sell a full range of springs and accessories. Please return to the online shop.
I have Okee clips currently, Can I use these spring clips instead?
Generally no. This is because the Okee clips are fitted with an overhang of the frame and the spring clips are fitted to the top of the rail.
I have Ek clips will these work?
Yes, Ek and Spring clips do the same function.
