La Z Boy HX90HUEB Right Hand Side Recliner Switch
This genuine La Z Boy branded eMoMo Tech HX90HUEB recliner switch is a replacement control switch for compatible electric La Z Boy recliner chairs and sofas. It is fitted to the right hand side of the recliner when seated in the chair, which is also known as the left hand facing side when looking at the recliner from the front.
The switch has a silver front fascia with La Z Boy logo, a durable plastic housing and a straight 5 pin DIN plug with retaining prongs. The 5 button layout gives simple control of the powered recliner functions, with the 2 front buttons operating the footrest, the 2 rear buttons operating the headrest and the centre button acting as the home button.
Check The Side Before Ordering
This listing is for the HX90HUEBN model, which fits the left hand side of the recliner when seated. We always describe recliner switch locations from the seated position because this is the clearest way to match the part to your furniture.
If your switch is mounted on the opposite side of the recliner, you may need the HX90HUEB model instead. We also stock the HX90HUEBN recliner switch (click here), which fits to the opposite side of the chair.
Not sure which side you need? Sit in the recliner as normal and check which hand you would use to press the buttons. If the buttons are operated by your right hand, this HX90HUEB model is the correct side.

How To Install The HX90HUEB Recliner Switch
Replacing the HX90HUEB La Z Boy recliner switch is a straightforward DIY repair when the model number, plug type and mounting side match your original switch. Before you begin, take a clear photo of the existing switch, cable position and plug connection so you have a reference when fitting the replacement.
| Difficulty | Easy DIY repair |
|---|---|
| Estimated Time | 10 to 20 minutes |
| Tools Required | Phillips head screwdriver, camera or phone |
| Before You Start | Unplug the recliner from mains power and take a photo of the original switch and cable connection |
Step By Step Instructions
- Disconnect the power. Switch the recliner off at the wall and unplug it from mains power before touching any electrical components.
- Take a before photo. Use your phone to take a clear photo of the original switch, cable routing and plug connection. This helps you match the replacement installation and avoid confusion later.
- Position the recliner safely. Carefully move the recliner so you can access the side where the switch is mounted. Use safe lifting techniques, keep your back straight, bend your knees and ask another person to help if the chair is heavy or awkward to move.
- Remove the existing switch. Locate the screws or fixing points holding the old switch in place. Remove them carefully with a Phillips head screwdriver and keep the screws aside if they will be reused.
- Disconnect the old plug. Follow the switch cable to the plug connection and disconnect the straight DIN 5 pin plug. Avoid pulling directly on the wires. Hold the plug body when disconnecting it.
- Compare the old and new switches. Check that the replacement switch has the same model number, button layout, plug type and mounting side as your original switch before fitting it.
- Connect the new HX90HUEB switch. Plug the new switch into the matching DIN 5 pin connection, making sure the retaining prongs are correctly seated and the plug is secure.
- Fit the new switch into position. Place the new switch into the side opening of the recliner and secure it with the screws or original fixing method. Make sure the cable is not pinched, stretched or caught near moving parts.
- Reconnect the power and test. Plug the recliner back into mains power and test each button. The front 2 buttons should operate the footrest, the rear 2 buttons should operate the headrest and the middle button should return the recliner to the home position.
- Final safety check. Confirm the switch is firmly mounted, the cable is clear of moving mechanisms and all powered functions operate smoothly before regular use.
