Genuine Lazyboy Drive Toggle Connector with part number 05.000431 and suitable replacement for Lazy Boy part number 15000714-00. This black plastic recliner mechanism connector is designed to elevate the front of the XR Plus chaise during the recline function. How To
How To
1, Disconnect the power supply to the chair and check no power remains in the transformer.
2, Lay a drop sheet on the floor and carefully turn the recliner over on its front, please remember safe lifting techniques.
3, We recommend at this point to take a picture of the recliner mechanism, mainly around the Drive Toggle Connector point highlighting important details such as the direction of the metal linking rod, plastic tabs and how the long plastic rod fits inside the Power Mechanism Assembly part on the Drive Toggle Connector so you can refer back too if needed.
4, With the footrest held closed, unhook the ‘R’ pin and then remove the linking rod from the Drive Toggle Connector, associated plastic mechanism parts and actuator clevis fork.
5, Next remove the broken Drive Toggle Connector completely from the chair
6, Install the replacement Drive Toggle Connector ensuring the long rod is positioned inside the adjacent plastic Power Mechanism Assembly P/N 12970483-01 and that the 2x plastic tabs are facing the correct direction.
7, Next reinstall the linking rod through the associated plastic mechanism parts and the actuator clevis fork and install the ‘R’ clip to secure the rod in place.
8, Carefully turn the recliner back over to the standard position.
9, Reinstate the power supply
10, Before sitting on the recliner first test the recliner ensuring all components are aligned and operating without stress and no cables are trapped.
11, Once confirmed all is correct you can sit and try the chair!
