Description
Dewert PD15 82420 Electric Bed Power Supply
This Dewert electric bed power supply is used to replace a matching adjustable bed transformer with the same PD15 / 82420 style, power specifications and special 2 pin female bed connector. It is designed for electric beds and adjustable beds, not standard electric recliners or lift chairs.
The power adapter has a built-in AU/NZ wall plug, an attached 2880mm cable and a green LED indicator light to show when power is on. It is a compact Dewert power supply from the Phoenix Mecano brand family and is made for bed systems that use this specific connector style.
Match Your Old Power Supply Before Ordering
Before ordering, please compare this replacement with your original electric bed power supply. The most important details to check are the Dewert branding, PD15 / 82420 identification, power output and connector shape.
This unit is rated PRI 100-240V 50/60Hz 3.5A-1.6A, with SEC 29V 58W and 29V 5.5A intermittent output. The duty cycle is 2 min ON / 18 min OFF, which is typical for adjustable bed motion systems where the motors are only used briefly while adjusting the bed position.
The connector is a special 2 pin female bed plug. It is not the same as the common 2 pin round-pin / flat-blade recliner transformer plug used on many electric recliners, so the plug shape should be checked carefully against your old power supply.
Built-In AU/NZ Wall Plug Version
This is the AU/NZ version with the wall plug built directly into the power adapter body. It does not require a separate removable wall power cord, which makes replacement simple when your old unit uses the same style.
The adapter body measures approximately 112mm long x 54mm wide x 38mm to 47mm deep, and the attached cable is approximately 2880mm long including the plug casing.
Do It Yourself and Save Time & Money
Replacing a matching electric bed power supply is usually a simple plug-in repair. Disconnect the old power supply from the wall, unplug the bed connector, then connect the new power supply to the matching bed plug before plugging it back into the wall outlet.
No special tools are normally required when the old power supply and connector are a direct match. You can restore power to your adjustable bed yourself, save the cost of a service call and enjoy the satisfaction of getting the repair done.

How To Replace a Dewert PD15 82420 Electric Bed Power Supply
This tutorial explains how to replace a matching Dewert PD15 / 82420 electric bed power supply with the same power specifications and special 2 pin female bed connector. No special tools are normally required if your old power supply is a direct match.
Before You Start
- Unplug the old power supply from the wall outlet before touching any cables.
- Check that your replacement power supply matches the old unit label, output specs and connector shape.
- Make sure the bed is not being operated while you are connecting or disconnecting the power supply.
- Do not use the power supply if the cable, plug or casing is damaged.
Step 1: Locate the Old Power Supply
Look behind or underneath your electric bed to find the existing power supply. It will usually be plugged into the wall and connected to the bed electrics by a low voltage output cable.
Step 2: Unplug From the Wall First
Switch off the wall outlet and remove the old power supply from the power point. Always disconnect the mains power before unplugging the bed connector.
Step 3: Disconnect the Bed Connector
Follow the cable from the old power supply to the bed electrics. Gently unplug the special 2 pin bed connector. Do not pull hard on the cable itself. Hold the plug casing where possible and ease the connector apart.
Step 4: Compare the Old and New Power Supply
Before fitting the new unit, compare the important details:
- Brand or style: Dewert PD15 / 82420 style power supply
- Input: 100-240V AC, 50/60Hz, 3.5A-1.6A
- Output: 29V, 58W
- Intermittent output: 29V, 5.5A
- Connector: matching special 2 pin female electric bed plug
- Wall plug: built-in AU/NZ plug version
If the connector shape or label details do not match, stop and contact us before connecting the replacement.
Step 5: Connect the New Power Supply to the Bed
Align the replacement power supply connector with the matching plug from the bed electrics. Push the connectors together firmly and evenly. The plug should fit neatly without forcing it.
Step 6: Plug Into the Wall Outlet
Once the bed connector is fitted, plug the new Dewert power supply into the AU/NZ wall outlet. Switch the power on and check that the green LED power indicator is illuminated.
Step 7: Test the Bed Movement
Use your electric bed handset to test the bed movement briefly. The bed should respond as normal. Avoid holding the controls continuously for long periods, as this style of power supply is designed for intermittent operation with a 2 min ON / 18 min OFF duty cycle.
Troubleshooting
- No green LED: Check the wall outlet is switched on and try another working power point.
- Green LED on but bed does not move: Check the 2 pin bed connector is fully seated and inspect the bed handset connection.
- Connector will not fit: Do not force it. The power supply may not be the correct match for your bed.
- Bed still not working: The fault may be with the handset, control box, actuator motor or another bed electrical component.

FAQs
FAQs
Will this Dewert PD15 82420 power supply fit my electric bed?
This power supply is suitable for electric beds and adjustable beds that use the matching Dewert PD15 / 82420 style transformer, 29V output and special 2 pin female bed connector. Before ordering, compare the label on your old power supply and check that the plug shape matches the photos.
Is the Dewert PD15 82420 transformer suitable for electric recliners?
No, this Dewert PD15 / 82420 power supply is intended for electric beds and adjustable beds. It is not the same as the common electric recliner transformer with the round-pin / flat-blade OI style plug. If you need a recliner power supply, check our recliner transformer range or contact us for help.
What plug does this adjustable bed power supply use?
This power supply has a built-in AU/NZ wall plug and an attached cable with a special 2 pin female electric bed connector. The wall plug is part of the adapter body, so it does not use a separate removable wall power cord.
Why does my electric bed power supply say 29V 58W and 29V 5.5A?
The Dewert PD15 power supply is rated at SEC 29V 58W, with 29V 5.5A intermittent output. The duty cycle is 2 minutes ON / 18 minutes OFF, which suits adjustable bed motors because they are normally only operated briefly while moving the bed position.
What should I check before buying a replacement electric bed transformer?
Check the brand, model details, voltage output and connector shape on your old electric bed power supply. For this replacement, look for Dewert PD15 / 82420 style identification, PRI 100-240V 50/60Hz 3.5A-1.6A, SEC 29V 58W and the matching special 2 pin female bed plug. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your old label and connector before ordering.
